Haha XD Nu stiu despre faza cu personajul popular { am vazut destule wallpaper-uri cu Naruto care sunt pustii } dar sunt de acord ca un wallpaper cu o tipa inocenta si ochii mari e cheia succesului, din pacate ... Cu 2-3 gradient maps pe ea, face minuni.

Ah, si as mai adauga: ca sa ai succes trebuie sa o dai in masochism rau de tot ;) Iei o poza mare si detaliata dintr-un manga/artbook iar apoi te apuci sa o vectorizezi pe motiv ca "era prea pixelata" sau "prea neclara" Apoi lumea te va lauda pentru noptile pierdute in care ai stat sa vectorizezi fiecare fir de par al personajului si chestii de genul :P

I've been working on and off some wallpaper for the past week and am moving slow. I need to stop slacking ...

It doesn't take a genius to make a good wall. Hard work and experience has its benefits. ^^;

For better blending, merely adding an outer glow will not help, sometimes just making it worse/stand out more. What I meant for you to do is to duplicate the scan and have it blend to overlay. Press CTRL and click the top layer of the scan that you just overlayed on your layer's pallet. While the top has been selected, go to work on the bottom layer. Image>Adjustment>brightness/Contrast set to Brightness: 8-15 (play around with it) and Contrast -10 to -15 (play around with it.) Then Filter:Blur:Guassian Blur. You may now deselect. See the difference?

As for depth in your wall, I'd mentioned how I'm not experienced in making renders, but just know that contrast between dark and light spots make all the difference. If you look at the bottom of your wallpaper where your clouds end, you'll notice you can see more depth than the top of the wallpaper. Why is that? Notice the transition between the light and dark spots. They're quite sudden, therefore making the distance/depth seem more apparent. Got it? ^^; Hope that helps.
