I dont like the shading or the way it looks, just does not look very anime'ish to me.

Well its just a matter of artistic preference if you want to stick with the traditional anime look then do so. My aim is not to produce an anime like look rather a new look which has more body and is more CG like rather than cell type. BTW a lot of anime artist nowadays create their anime characters that are already near to realism or CG like look. Anyway thanks for sharing.
