Oh yes, I'm familiar of that, its like a cartoon-anime series because the animation is sort of Wezternized.. Yup!
I'm a bleachtard as of now, and I also recommend it to you, although the first few episodes weren't thrilling...but really, I'm a hardcore narutard and.. well' i prefer shounen types anime..with platonic romance genre, how bout you?

Filler episodes are are those only seen in ova(original video animation) and not originally a part of the main plot in manga... that's why they're called fillers, I hope I've explained it quite clearly..
and i suggest naruto shippuuden, you'll get what youre wanting for..^_^
