It was just awful last week. some people just decided to mess up this site. it was a DDOS attack. I forgot what DDOS stands for but people here could not logged in and AP was down for 3 days. the developers took a long time fixing AP but they got it running again. any way. good to see you again. =)

Yeah...I'm ALMOST finished with hiragana...
But, I'm still struggling to recognize it instantaneously...
I still have to kind of think about them and then I'll recognize the chracter, but I'm still in the baby stages. ^^
HOw long have you been learning?
I "teach" myself by watching as much japanese dramas I can possibily get my hands on...lol...
But, seriously, I went to Korea this past summer and my sister took japanese before me, so she kind of knows more than I do. While we were in Korea she picked up some books and there's this one book that I'm teaching myself with...
It has the japanese characters and what they would sound like in Korean. So, since I know what the Korean chracters sound like, I'm able to kind of teach myself with that instrument. The book takes each Japanese character, shows me how to write the Japanese letter and then what it would sound like in Korean.
I'm also trying to get whatever I can online so that I can get my pronunciation correct.
I would hate to work so hard to learn it wrong, you know?
