external HDD errors. everytime i plug it in I have to scan+fix errors. im about to throw it out and get the USB3 version
optimise for quick removal or disconnect it properly fromthe system
Go to your drive in the device manager and select optimize for quick removal uner the properties tab
essentially disables the write cache and should stop those errors
