Japanese anime is good with japanese voice. Try to watch Bob the sponge or Simpsons in japanese, shoud be fun too^^ I think anime/movie should be seen the way it was made to be.

I watch One Piece from DVD

It is so hard to watch one piece in english dub because luffy's voice sounds really really really childish unlike in the anime which sounds like a teenager but he really is an adult that has no intelligence at all... Unless when it comes to combat he is a genius which is annoying and lol worthy at the time being until it keeps happening which becomes repetitive. I watch it in japanese subs to improve my japanese and it sounds better than the english dubs hehehe. Anyone else agree with me here?

Japanese. with subs.

Japanese dubs with some food. Every time Luffy eats makes me want to eat something as well. Sometimes when reading the new chapter, I even put on the soundtrack to go along with the scenes, haha. Tanaka Kohei FTW!!

I watch One piece in Subbed, for the majority of the begining i watched it dubbed but once i ran out of dubbed versions i moved on :D

The anime I saw before where all in English and that particular channel were really good at dubbing. After that there were rumors that they did not ask permission from Japan about dubbing Animes so they dropped the dubbing and aired subtitled Anime. The bad thing is, I did not get to see these times.

In my opinion I prefer to watch the anime all in Japanese because I find it filled with more emotions compared to other dubbed languages. It is what made me hooked to it, particularly One Piece. Their reactions coupled with facial expressions really what makes it epic.

My reasoning may be one sided, but if you watch one piece, like every other anime, it has to be in japanese with english subtitles. Most of the dubs are just trash.

only read manga, the original work is much nicer and has more PASSION in it X)

i watched a few anime episodes when my brother watched it... but i prefer the manga... since it doesnt have any FILLERS... ofcourse... but i recommend both

I usually end up at least starting the manga before the anime, so voices fitting the ones I had in my head are pretty crucial. I've disliked English dubbing in general, not only for the quality, but for them leaving out certain words from the translation. This happens in the subs as well, but I get to hear them and make my own mind up about what they said. I've watched anime for more than 10 years, I understand basic japanese. One Piece has a sea of oddly chosen words. It's a translating gem. It's a shame to only hear it in english.

I preffer original language, you know... i dont speak japanese at all lol but i think its like hearing the original series, uncensored by your country, thats what i think
