Anime and Manga

Oh.... i really love this anime, its soo funny... all the parody, making fun of other anime... some part from Initial D, some from Inuyasha, Tenma dressing like Kikyo lol... Street Fighter and many lol... i can't wait they release the 23th episode... Wanabee is having alot of prob right now... Will Harima tell Tenma that he love her one day? ^^

So, in conclusion... if you really like comedy, parody and if you really like to laugh, well i suggest you guys to watch this anime SCHOOL RUMBLE 26 episode i think?

this series is AWESOME.. i luved it.. the character design were great.. and harima is the shiot.. hes soo funny.. this is a must see.. even though it was shortened.. they shuold continue it.. like the manga

i think this series was pretty good..but sometimes i felt that in a lot of the episodes nothing really...happens. maybe thats just the way it should be for a school comedy, i dunno. Karumasma is just funny..not because hes funny himself, but because...well dont want to spoil it for you guys who havnt watched it yet =P

azumanaga dioh on the other hand...i couldnt stand the series cuz i found each episode so stale and boring...nothing happens...most of the time its just these weird silences. sorry to the ppl who liked it! ^^

I thought it was funny. i like the "bearded" guy. the chicks are hot too. you cant go wrong with seeing it!!!

I read the beginning of the mangas then stopped and watched the rest of the anime. I thought it would be faster. since its almost entirely accurate.

At first, I couldn't help but think this anime was Azumanga Daioh minus a ten year old girl. But as the series progressed, I came to learn this was nicely done anime with it's own unique story and characters.

In truth, I'm surprised that I didn't bother to pick this up earlier. It actually came out around the beginning of October last year. I didn't even hear about it until a month ago. Stereotypically, I saw the name of the anime and thought "Ikkitousen". It sounded like one of those animes where the people at school just take jabs at each other and have insane super powers. Then about a week ago, I finally watched the first episode.

Whoever created this is downright genius for doing so. Nothing too original here. We've seen high school romance AND high school comedy before. But the thing about School Rumble is that it is able to take it's premise, go in all sorts of directions at once, and be able to pull it all together for most of the episodes. I like this anime a lot.

Story and characters are the integral part of animes. And that's exactly what School Rumble is able to deliver. The anime tends to focus mainly on two characters: Harima Kenji and Tenma Tsukamoto. Harima Kenji is your typical loner tough guy. He denounces school and has never put an effort into it...not until he meets a girl. A girl named Tenma. So Kenji is now putting in his all so that he can stay in school and perhaps ask out the girl of his dreams. Too bad she's interested in someone else...

That story takes up a good majority of the episodes. The last person to complete this love triangle goes by the name of Karasuma, who seems pretty oblivious to practically everything. However, this is not the only story. Tenma and Kenji have classmates you know. And oh, what an entertaining bunch they are. And there are a LOT of them. Just when you think the anime is done introducing characters, someone else decides to pop up and make him/herself known. But what's so great about it is that each character makes the most out of his/her screen time. I ended up enjoying every single character this show churned out, from all of their quirks, to all of their situations. When you are actually interested in what's in store for virtually every single character in a show, you know it's good. =)

Of course I had my favorites. Eri Sawachika with her inability to express her feelings. Yakumo and her passion for animals. Karasuma's obliviousness to just about everything going on at the school. Hanai and his over the top behavior. Akira and her silent but deadly demeanor. And of course, Kenji. The things he has to go through just to confess his love, hilarious.

Visually, this is a pretty impressive show. Smooth animation (would expect nothing less from a computer though =P) makes for a pretty anime. Character designs were all great (although I didn't care much for Imadori's design, seemed kind of bland). For a comedy, School Rumble actually had a lot of action in it. And for the most part all the action scenes were well animated. Some of the fight scenes were actually done pretty well, so much that I prefer them over the animes that specialize in that genre.

Music was decent for this anime. It does the anime well, but it failed to create a lasting memory for me. All but one song, and that's the opening theme. Perhaps one the more sugary themes I've heard. It reminded me of the Azumanga Daioh theme. Everyone just seemed to be having the time of their lives in the opening. The opening theme is perhaps the only song that I'll remember in this whole series, and it's the only song that makes the music worth listening to.

Every element to this anime was done superbly. I can't also forget the many spoofs and cliches that School Rumble tends to poke at. So many jokes in this anime had me laughing (out loud?... LOL =P). This anime reminds me SO much of Azumanga Daioh. I believe School Rumble was able to take that anime's premise and run even farther with it. Now if only they'll continue it (because that last episode was by NO MEANS AT ALL AN ENDING!!!)... I suggest you pick up this anime if you haven't watched it yet. You won't be dissapointed. GURUGURU MAWARU! GURUGU MAWARU! See you all next time. =)

i like this series. It#s funny as well and the only character I hated was karasuma because he's just so boring. i haven't seen it to the end yet but I already love this series as much as I love Azumanga.

my fave female characters are: Yakumo and Eri

i like this anime but the ending really......haizzz... it contains lots of comedies which i really luv it.... i have no favourite character but among all i think i like ichijou better.. she looks really cute but *cough**cough* she's real strong.... everything is good accept the ending was really badly done... i hate to admit it but this anime really have the worst ending... anyway it is just my personal opinion...no offense to school rumble's fan...^^

hehe....recently i have just finish watching this anime..... Overall....i think this anime really gives out a very funny comedy act..... like...Tenma was chasing Karasuma wit a bike but in the other hand, Harima was chasing behind Tenma too!!! And Tenma's hair and her behavior was funny.....

Next....i like it when the have the competition between their class and the next class....... i like the scene here coz the jus full of teamwork and the spirit to win especially Eri and Harima.......

But i have no favorites...but i like all the character......BUT.......this anime has a very bad ending!!!!

School Rumble! Really nice anime with a variety of characters.. Really nice comedy stuff too, not to mention the parodies of other anime/manga/video games/etc.. From what I remember.. there were parodies of.. Initial D.. Dragon Ball.. Power Ranger.. and a ton of others too.. It's always enjoyable to watch every episode, and most probably I'll end up either laughing my ass off on the floor or at least giggling through it. The overreactions and misunderstance guesswork is really fun to watch.. Really an awesome anime which I would recommend to anyone (with a sense of humour >.>) ^^;

School Rumble was such a funny anime i loved it. I hope theirs a second season but i don't see any point to another season.

I'm pretty sure they're coming out with a second season....they BETTER!!!! or else i'd have to kill the producers because of the very not ended ending.............T_T it's a really good series...quite random at times but quite funny ^^
