Anime and Manga

You want to show anime. Have workshop like drawing, game, manga, etc.... Trading Manga and anime among members. Go to Anime Expo or something like that.....it can be a field trip.........

I did not know that there were people who opened up anime clubs in public schools. The College that I go to has had quite a few over time. As far as advice goes for your club I suggest you screen the animes you watch in your club on school grounds. Other than that good luck and godspeed to you and your club.

My college has one and it is TERRIBLE. They only show really overplayed animes from Cartoon network, and most of them seriously need to get out more.. nerdiness times a million, lol.

anime from Cartoon Network. They soooo need to get fansub anime to watch, they need to watch sub anime with japanese voice to see what anime is really like.

Anyway, ideas for your anime club. SLIMCHANCE said is a pretty good idea, more anime club around the world, the better it is. ^_^

Last year, one of the clubs that dealed with drawing anime and manga styled art, had a drawing contest. I attended the award day and many of the pictures were done really well ^_^ A girl in my registry won first place with a beautiful piece...>_< so jealous! lol

Hi im thinking of starting an anime club at my school too. I have a few friends who say they MIGHT (big might) join if i start one. My biggest obstacle is getting ppl to join...

You could start a very small manga in ur club. I know there are lots of ppl out there who can write good stories and those who can draw really good. Personally, I dont think showing anime in school is such a good idea cuz every1 has prolly seen it. I watch bleach, gsd, speed grapher, and others as soon as they are subbed, so it would be boring to watch again on a tv with a bunch of other ppl.

Well, screening anime is alwasy a good idea. Like, even if some people have watched it already, there are too many other people who can't download their own (whether they have slow connections or just can't be bothered etc) and also to lend out anime on cd/dvds and so forth..you can also hold drawing classes or something buy having someone good at drawing to teach maybe? at our anime club at university, they also hold marathons during holidays, ie. to rent out a big room or something and show lots of anime and have some food (like Pokki) and give out prizes. You can also have annual anime karaoke or anime trivia and so forth. there's a lot you can do!!!

I've sure a lot of people would join, because there's a lot of people who likes anime but don't publicly announce it ^^ and it might depend on whether there's lots of asians in your school, since anime seem to be more popular with asians for some reason...

do You people still need a club? Anime is everywhere! Ask anyone, there's a chance he/she is an anime fan, otaku, or something like that :)
