Anime and Manga

ye when i watched this anime i really wanted to see him and kaname hook up but the first series was fine. but when i watched the second one is was alright but i wanted to see the funnyer version like the first series u no but the second one i super more serious then the first series. not saying that its bad or anything. but i really like FMP also

yeah, I thought that they did a very very nice job of jinishing off the series. They sufficiently covered most of the important storylines that were going on. Souske's little 'revelation' which enabled him to grow stronger was really nice. The small hole in the story would be how chidori could somehow go from japan to hong kong which is in a national state of emergency. Then find souske in such a huge city, but whatever, it's all good and it didnt detract from the story at all. I thought having the story finish up in the school setting was really nice. It provides as a .sufficient ending and also leaves a segway to a potentially new series. I hope to see more of this great series, but if not, they did a good job of finishing it off

I finished it yesterday, and to say, I had hoped for another 24 episodes, not just 13. But you can't have them all, now can you :) But I too want to see more of Sagaras undoing :D But I really like this series, and don't agree with some who say it's fanservice only -_-"

I've been meaning to watch FMP: The Second Raid (I have most of the eps sitting on my hdd), but I haven't had the time to watch more than one episode. I did like what I saw, though ^^ I'm glad they decided to make a more serious season (not that Fumoffu was bad or anything)

this is the best full metal panic series ever. i love it so much! =) the action was great. i was disappointed in thirteen episodes though >< i wish there was so much more. and that kaname & sousuke finally admit their feelings. but overall i think it was a pretty decent ending! GAURON is finally dead. omg. how retarded. but im glad that he is gone!

Ooh man, I gotta grab this before it gets licensed. Been meaning to watch it ever since I saw the first episode a while back. Question - I read a FMP novel a while back, is TSR in any way based on this? Sorry, but I can't find any relevant information at the moment (to help identify the book). From the tone of the previous posters, it sounds close.

gosh i've only watched till episode 3... & i felt kinda turn off by the violence... it seems there are much more violence in this then the 1st series... but anyway i'll try to finish up.. so there's only 13 episodes?

just finished watching the last episode of TSR today. i agree, TSR is the best out of the 3 imo. i was hoping for some closure to happen between sousuke & kaname but hopefully another series will follow this.

Full Metal panic TSR rrrrrruuuuuuuulllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeessssssss!!!!!!!!!!!It was the best i finished seeing it a couple of days ago and i was speachlis.I felt bad for the twin Gates killed in ep.13 talk about PAINFUL I mean really ouch.Anyways I heard a rumor that they where going to make another series.I wasn't sure if it was true or not.

But you're not the only one. I was really pissed how they leave endings like these. Also, the comedy is what bonds it, like fumoffu.

btw, at least for the ending in TSR, they shouldve made sousuke really hug kaname. i mean cmon man...

It was great as usual :D but then.... damn too short :rant: >_< surprised to saw the ending like that T_T... well still, FMP made my day :D

i wasnt really satisfied because they finished it up with only 13 episodes... i mean.. come on... where is all those funny things that sagara did?? urgh~ it wasn't as funny as fumoffu or the 1st season.. i need another season!! XP

Well, I just finished watching all 13 eps in a marathon session last night. I have to say that TSR was by far the best season of FMP yet. The original was okay (not enough action IMO, to balance the character development), FUMOFFU is a nice random comedy, but TSR has the most action out of all three, as well as more interesting enemies and a nice random plot twist thrown in. Overall I give TSR a 8/10 because it wasn't long enough.

In an earlier post I had asked if TSR was based on an FMP book... well it is. I'm trying to find the folder I stuck my copy of this book on so I can throw it up on UploadTemple for those of you who are interested (as it goes into slightly more detail than the series, for obvious reasons).

the origional first season compressed several novels into one season. kyoto studio however, took a different approach and took a single novel, mowaru by day, and made it into a 13 episode show, which i think was probably the best idea. it's probably a no brainer that we'll get another sequel for this great series, although the mangaka has not finished the novels. maybe we'll get another season of ffomfu?

They're making a sequal to that second raid right? cause I mean, it didn't really answer too much, so they SHOULD be making a second part to it right? hahhaah hopefully.....

I thought it was ok. But what I think about it was that it wasn't as good as Fumoffu.

All FMP series are good. The Second Raid is the best in my opinion though. It's really straight to the point. They compressed it into 13 episodes so there wouldn't be any useless fillers. Sousuke is finally showing his human side, not the military freak that he always is. Chidori and Sousuke is also getting along quite well in this series. Too bad it didn't show Chidori as much though. Characters are well brought up. Every episode leaves a suspense making you want more.

I'm wondering, witll there be another series? :D I soooo hope there will be since they did leave some unintroduced characters at the end. It makes me wonder if they're going to get introduced or not. :o

Tessa's little dance in the last episode was definately my favorite part ^.^

And the name of the novel TSR is based on is "Full Metal Panic! The End of Day by Day" and is a very good read IMO.
