i've seen a lot of animes, but that was last year. i can't find any new animes that i would be interested in this year. i suppose what makes it hard for me to find one is the fact that i'm an art snob. Please help recommend animes to me, with a description attatched. here are my requirements: ~beautiful art (ex. AIR) ~good storyline (ex. D.N.Angel) ~no hentai, yaoi, or yuri (shounen ai is welcome, though). ~good soundtrack (AIR) I will love you forever if you can find animes fitting these requirements. thank you for your time!

I didn't find D.Nangel that great . Anyway this year its hard to find real good anime (i m in the same boat ^^) But i can recommend you : - Ergo-proxy ( Manglobe ... just a little team who did some ignored anime :p , like : samurai champloo) - Eureka7 ( it takes a bit of time to really start being interesting , but nice :) ) - noein ( the graphics are strange , but more you watch more you enjoy the show - animations are well made ) - mushishi ( pretty nice to watch :) )
I could recommend you a lot more if i know what you allready saw.. By the way did you watch all the good old animes ?

the ARIA series and Junni Kokuki comes to mind. you wont find alot more anime that surpasses thoses 2 in the animation, soundtrack and story department... well, aria's a little weak on the story

I was watching Tideline Blue a while back it was a different experience from most other animes. I did stop watching the series mainly because I didn't have the time to keep up with it though =P
The opening and ending songs were very catchy though >_>... The series was also relatively short (*I think*) so I think it's something you might want to check out... (I recommend you watch the first episode and make your decision then because the limited information out there about the series might be misleading).
If not TideLine Blue then DEFINITELY "Karas" it's a OVA that is still being released in Japan but boasts masterful music, fight scenes, and animation =D! (Meh maybe i'll post a clip later >_>).

I highly recommend Honey and Clover . It's a slice of life "dramedy" about college students who share a small apartment. There's a bit of romantic intrigue with some of the characters. Great soundtrack; especially the opening and ending songs.

I would recommend Ouran High School Host Club, the soundtrack is great and its a fun series (my friends and I had a great time laughing throughout a few of the episodes). Scrapped Princess because some of the ideas presented are kinda original and unexpected.
