I just finished watching Full Metal Alchemist. They call that an ending? Al get's his body back but loses his memory. Ed get's his limbs back for two seconds then gets trapped in another plane of existence without his reaquired flesh. Rose is left alone with her baby and virtually none of the characters are better off then when the series started. On top of that, Pride slowly breaks his own kid's neck before dying. If they make a sequal to the series his widowed wife had better be one of the villians. And a depressing one.

The conclusion is in the film if it does not dress it I recommend you that you see so that you can draw it conclusions from her, lasts to the rededor of one hour if I am not mistaken and counts what happens with Ed behind the door.

oh..that wasn't that a bad ending..better that the crap the movie left behing at least to me that ending was better that the movie i wouldn't recommend the movie to anyone...

Dang. Sorry about the lack of spoiler warnings. I had it in the footnotes but lost track of the charater count and it ran off the edge when I posted it. BTW I'm not hating on the Japanese all the time. It's just that it seems like they have no hope for happiness sometimes. At least shakespear puts meaning in his tradgedies. The Japanese just have tradgedy for the sake of tradgedy. House of Flying Daggers is another god example of this.

i know wat u mean the movie wasn't as good as expected but it does talk bout where Ed & Al's dad is and bout the other world where there is no alchemists, but still not the best movie i've seen

Mmm, well endings are a thing that you just have to get over with. Is it too depressing? Of course! I had trouble stopping my tears after watching the movie. But eh, I'm watching other series now.

I dont hate Japanese, although I always ask myself this very very cliché situation in several animes.....
What is the deal with Japanese fever? If you get it, damn!, you end in a bed, almost in a comma for 2 episodes.. Why do characters always faint because of fevers?
OK, that´s all I almost hate....no, thats all I alwass ask myself about the Japanese.

Anyway, if that's your only proof that the Japanese are depressing it's not the best example. Stories don't always reflect the author's personality, sometimes they just go with what they think is a good story.
