I don't think there's anything wrong with watching dubbed anime. I do prefer the original japanese voices with subtitles but I respect those who want to hear it in English. To each their own, I say.

It depends. Most of the time, Japanese dubs are better, but there are the few times where the English dub is as good as (or is better to some) than the original dub.

I say Japanese, since dubs will sometimes change a translation or just make it weaker.

Well, no matter what I say here, I know I'm going to be in big trouble. OK, lets assume that your just another under educated American gaijin (like me) that took Latin in school and can't speak Japanese (yet). Do you watch your anime English dubbed or Japanese subtitled? Opinions certainly do vary....

Personally, I prefer to watch anime in English .

I don't know why but I've always preferred it in Japanese. It has the whole original feel to it and everything that happens is just funnier when it's spoken in Japanese xD Don't get me wrong though, I've watched some in English but many of the dubs and voice acting is plain terrible. No offence to the men and women working hard at making them for those who want to watch it in English. Just a personal opinion of mine :)

I watch it in both as well. If I have version where I can switch back and forth within the episode I do it to see what which is better. it also depends on my mood. If I have heard enough japanese for the day, Ill watch the dubbed. lol

Japanese. Obsurd question. English makes me want to puke. There is much lost in translation from Japanese to English. This is especially true if watching a japanese slide of life anime, and they reference japan specific parts of their culture. If you've lived in Japan like I have...english translation makes me sick.

Preferably Japanese. German is a so-and-so to me as I've come across some series that have a very good German dub. English is an absolute no-go to me, most of the (American) English dubs sound terrible.

I like to watch anime in japanese dub, but some anime that I watched as a kid (Digimon, Pokemon) were in English dubs, and I can't bring myself to watch them in Japanese out of sentimentality and nostalgia. I also watched Baccano in English because it takes place in America.

I prefer to watch in Japanese. English dubs are sometimes great, but there's always something that they miss. It's easier just to read the subtitles and be sure that you're getting everything that's intended.

The Eglish language sometimes doesnt full express the Japanese laguage. But, its really just which you prefer!

I usually only watch anime in Japanese. I personally feel when it's dubbed into English not only does some of the meaning get lost in translation but some of the feeling/emotion does too. Though, I don't mind watching anime dubbed into Spanish xD

Japanese and Filipino. I'm not interest in english dubbed, their voices are exaggerated and it's like treating audience as kids (most of viewers are teenager or mid adult).

I guess I'm one of the few that prefer english dubs as long as they are done decently. If the dub is terrible then I'll watch it with the original japanese audio, but I feel that subs can become a bit tedious after watching several episodes back to back and can also be quite distracting as well.

always in Japanese. Because if you look in English as many would happen, hate censorship, for silly things (like a bloody wound or smoking) if censorship is done by the Japanese themselves to animate the series, does not bother me .. but if it bothers me, to do so when it is fully translated into the languages of each country where you can get every series
