Anime and Manga

I think I love anime, because it takes you away to another world, but then, somehow, the emotions and experiences the characters go through are connected to experiences and emotions that real people feel. And at the end of it, you can draw strength from it :) I have been inspired by many animes...eg Rurouni Kenshin

And of course I love the animation and artwork.

Not all animes are created equal.

I like anime over all because anything is possible within the context of the anime itself and not seem stupid.

Talking martial arts cat giving advice on fighters that can throw energy blasts from the palms of their hands? In anime that = awesome, acted in real life = gay. Reason why vague concepts aren't performed well outside a certain media.

Because its kawaii! ;3 na dunno because its romantic, full of fantasy and action and full of things you can't see in real life movies xD there are more details in an anime movie and i really love the music in animes!!! and every character is something special! their hair color, their height, their voice, their behavior! no one would act lik that in reallity but everyone is a bit hoping for it ; P

I love anime. this genre takes everything to the extreme! it can be giant robot fights or just a conversation between two big-eye'd girls, most of the stuff you see are a stretch of someone's (usually the writers) imagination. and you cant get that anywhere alse.

Why should there be a reason??? Like is like!!! So just enjoy without justifing...

I watch anime because its awesome.

I love anime. It is like asking people why they love reading books. It's all about the stories in animes. In the world of anime nothing is really limited... you can have a story talking about sports and romance like Suzuka... you can have big giant machines fighting for humanity.... like in Gundam and Eureka Seven.... Pirates in One Piece... etc...

Anime is full of good themes and lessons. Some people outside may see anime and call it cartoons in which they imply it being childish and stupid, but that's not true, anime is full of great stories with good lessons that can be learned if people pay attention. I find it pretty amazing.

Sometimes, the point is made very strongly and I love that when I see it. You have movies like Voices of a distant star.... the place promised in our early days.... 5cm a second... these animes are truly amazing and very touching to a very realistic level....

but when all is said and done... when you like something.. you don't really need a reason, you just do. Anime is just great.

Because it extols good values --- hard work, team work, persistence (and you though anime was all work..hehehe). Not to mention some laughs on the side. Some serious anime series could even spark questions on one's worldviews, like what EVA did. And there's great action --- Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon. You'd never run out of reasons of liking anime... #.(n_n)

Because it's different from Western cartoons.

why? well...because many anime is MOE !!!!! :D the heroine is kawaiii...

and full of fantasy.....

but has a great story....:D

I love anime cause I think anime is unique ... full of fantasy and the story is great . . .

Because anime provides a deep story, likeable characters and a unique art, which makes it different from other genres and in my eyes also the no.1 Just look on other non-anime series or shows, even doesn't need to be animated. Most of them are lowlife crap, like pathetic soaps or annyoing talkshows. I like it cause is simply the best entertaiment, thats all.

i like anime for the animation. The classic anime series were more about story plot and simple but amazing looking images. Anime now is more about fast paced imaging, which is great especially in action series.

what they cant show you on cable tv, you see in anime. in short, everything is taken to the extreme! what other reason do i need?

I LOVE ANIME! You ask me why I love it? Try ask yourself why and that's probably one of my reason. I just love it P(T_T)

well why do i like anime... i think i like/love anime because it's just something for everyone, althought not everyone can like it but in the depp of everyones heart they like anime ^-^ you can watch anime like eureka seven or code geass with the cool machines, you can watch anime full of love like romeo x juliet or you can watch if you like everything lucky star or the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya 'cause that's something for everyone, and if you're only a little kid that wants too something with magic and a little girl as protagonist than you can watch cardcaptor sakura or if you a kid that play with traiding cards than you should watch yu-gi-oh or probablly pokémon.

But there's another reason i like anime, it's because of the greatfull music there's in every anime, like the songs from Tsubasa Chronicle when they're fighting when these great song comes called a song of storm and fire, or this cute songs from cardcaptor sakura when they're shopping.

BUT!!! they are so many other reasons for that i really love anime =)

I like anime for its KAWAII factor.. you simply can't find that on western cartoons. Also, anime presents a wider range of storyline than its western counterpart.

I grew up watching a lot of anime shows (Mazinger Z, Robotech, Saint Seiya, a lot of other shows which names I forgot) so I'm already used to big colored eyes, giant robots, epic battles and all that.

I must also mention the fact that anime has a defined continuity (unlike comics, where they like to change the stories, origins and they don't have a defined end most of the times) and a deep enough character development (even for the secondary characters) that helps me understand what's going on with every anime show I watch.

Finally, anime shows tend to have more production values than other cartoon shows. With this I don't just mean the animation (even though, lately, the abuse of computer generated effects tend to irritate me) but also the music, the dynamic of the overall animation and the plotlines. There are animes for kids, but also anime for more mature audiences and that's what I think it makes some animes a lot more attractive (excluding the "mature" animes that are just a pile of fanservice with no real plot).

I enjoy Anime because it tells a more mature Story. And I'm not talking about simple shonen works like Naruto or One piece, I'm talking more or less about shows like Legend of the Galactic Heroes, My-HiME, Armored Trooper VOTOMs, and Patlabor.
