You could PM a mod instead of making a new thread lol. Maybe they can really use a report post button here.

hey never thought of that, nice idea. but having a report post hanging on every post seems kinda weird and may wreck the layout. i think PMing a mod is the way to go, once spammers are punished they wil learn hehe hope im not a spammer..hmm preety sure not :P

If someone is spamming your wallpaper, just copy his userpage url and PM a mod. If you think someone's using multiple accounts to spam your wallpaper, just copy those other userpage URL and PM a mod.

Generally speaking, if someone is a spammer then they do it regularly and consistently - probably because they're after papers.

As such what you can do is go to the person's user page and hit the "show all posts by user" and "show all comments by user". If one or both of these shows systemmatic spamming then report them to a mod (send them a link to the person's userpage) , cos then they'll be able to take proper action like deleting all of their comments en masse, fining them, warning them or banning them.

Basically, I'd say reporting individual comments could become a little over the top and time consuming, especially since everyone makes the occasional pointless/short/silly comment/post. If you suspect someone is a proper spammer and you do some of the groundwork yourself, the mod will have an easier time taking appropriate action, and thus be much more likely to do something.
