So, how is it exactly that one can end up with NEGATIVE papers? Is this some sort of forum script foul-up or did I do something to get myself branded as a naughty boy? Yesterday I had 221 papers, then I long on this morning to find myself in the hole by about 38 or so. Is this normal?

Rejections or gallery removals.

Both should generate notifications however at present Rejection notifications are not always coming through complete and removal notices are not always being received.

So it could have something to do with an accidental double post I had made a day or so ago? Then what might explain why when I am making posts it continues to go down when I make more posts?

So just because something is removed or rejected that you submitted you get negative papers? That's ridiculous. The fact that we even need "papers" is so irritating to begin with.

Yup. You're warned in the FAQ.

Why did I lose papers?

To be or not to be...Papers can be lost when a scan, wallpaper, or avatar you've submitted is deleted for whatever reason. You can also be fined when you submit items to the gallery that violate the FAQ.

To be or not to be...Occasionally, a user may double post, spam post, or start a post that violates the FAQ and later on a moderator will remove the delinquent post. This will result in a loss of papers.

Please don't go digging up threads from 5 years plus ago. In this case the information may be relevant. In others it may not.
