Floating IP Address is not allowed?

I just wonder whether floating IP address is allowed or not. One of my net-friends said, he sent three wallpaper comments(written by himself) and uploaded a scan.Then, he is banned. From Google, I found that floating IP address maybe not allowed here. Is that true?

dunno for sure, but i'd guess that it can make it appear as if you are using multiple accounts, which is grounds for banning.

but that may not have anything to do with your friend's banning. what is his user name?

    Dynamic IP addresses are allowed.

    APs ban system automatically bans your username together with the corresponding IP address used at the time the ban was imposed. If you are able to log back in at a later time using the same username, then rest assured that you haven't been banned.

    The reason why this happens is that you are on a dynamic IP instead of a static IP. So the IP which you were using at that time happens to coincides with one of the IP address on APs ban list. The only solution is to switch to a different IP address by resetting your router.
