I love Metallica. They are my all time favorite metal band. I love the songs Master of Puppets, Nothing Else Matters, Sad but True, and Enter Sandman (those are in order of how much I like them). I don't have all their cd's unfortunately because my parents won't allow parental advisory. grr, they're mean.

Parental adviosry eh? My mother has never really cared about that since I was like 9. ::shrug:: Sucks to be you. Sandman's my virtual fav of their songs, and a few others, but I don't really know the names of the songs ^^;;;. You could try getting them off of limewire, yanno.

I used to be a Metallica fan. Attended a great concert by them that was probably the biggest and best that I have gone to. Screaming fans, girls riding their boyfriend's shoulders while flashing the band/crowd, weed smoke, and everyone having fun. There was this one section where they had a stunt/joke pulled on the audience. The concert was in the Boston Garden, where the Boston Celtics play (pro-basketball team). A techie fell from the high rafters and was swinging with a wire that got caught on his ankle saving him from plummeting to the floor. But sparks flew into James Hetfield's face from an amp, (lead singer) blinding him and stopping the show, with paramedics arriving. With everyone concerned, it turned out to be a big joke and they even came back out for an encore at the end. I never stopped liking them, I just hop around in different genres of music and sometimes don't return. If you really like Metallica, I would strongly reccomend that you listen to an album called "Nola" by "Down." It is essentially a group of all-stars from other bands like Pantera and Crowbar to name two. Anyways, good for you to get into older music.

Im a big fan of Metallica, but I prefer the old Metallica of the 90`s, with albums like "...And Justice for All" and the black album. But also like songs like Hero of the Day and Until Sleeps...

I like the songs of the old Metallica because they are more powerfull and the lyrics are more direct and interesting

Metallica friggin rocks! I've got pretty much all of their albums at my house... Well, technically, I Don't have them, but my brother does. I can't say that I actually have a favourite album, But I definetly like their older stuff better. It's got more power and soul behind it. Three of their songs that kind of stick with me are Battery, One, and Fade to Black.

I'm not really into Thrash Metal, still, I like a few songs that are in my playlist anytime like "Master of Puppets", "Dyers Eve" or "to live is to die". But I have to admit that they are far from being my favourite band. =)

I am a very big fan of Metallica and their music...

My opinion of them has wavered in the past few years due to that whole Napster thing. However, I have still gone to their shows.

They put on a great one last year with Godsmack, another favorite of mine. It was definitely worth seeing.

Anyways, yeah, I like the older stuff better. My parents were big fans too, so it's basically the kind of music i've grown up on. I consider myself lucky in that respect ^_^

I like the first albums of Metallica: Kill'em all, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for All and the Black Album but the rest of their discography is too different that I don't really like it. I tried many times to listen to their new songs but not a single one could sound very good to my ears... Hope their next one will be better. I saw them in Werchter (Belgium) and I was quite WOW-ed! They're really a must see!
