I would first spend it on all the animes and mangas that I desired, and then split half of it with family, then save most of in the bank, and then I would just settle.

This thread has high risk of being closed due to it's list-fest nature.

However, if I had all that money, I'd pay all my debts and my parent's, I'd pay my education and a house, and finally I'd make some charity.

Dream come true time. Guess it's a little selfish but I'd like to buy stuffs that I've always wanted with those sums of money. Time to try out the rich life.

I would donate 10% of it. share half of it with family then keep everything else

If i had a million dollars. I would live off the interest.

donate the 20% invest the 60% buy the things you need and you want(don't forget the anime and mangas and novels) 20%

I would love to say something pompous and entirely untrue, like, "I would donate it all to charity so that the world could be a better place!" but the reality of it is that I'd probably stick it in the bank and be too afraid to do much of anything with it lol. Well, maybe a short vacation. Anywhere is fine as long as I don't have to do the cooking or wash the laundry ...

i would either invest it and save it or spend it on anime stuff. i would most likely save it tho.

I'd save some of it. Donate a portion of it... and uhm... with a smaller portion use it to buy a couple of games and finish off 'Aphorism' and 'Legend' (the only manga I own T.T)

Omygosh that would be soo cool! Except... I'd probs be the type of person who'd say:

Me: Yay I have a million dollars!!! :D Random Person: Great! So what are you gonna do with it? Me: O_o Ugh... well... <Shrugs>

It's such a huge sum of money! I honestly wouldn't know what to do with ALL of it!

I would turn it into my currency so it would be cca 17 mil. and I would put it in bank. No need to work till the rest of my life xD

Haha, I would probably put it in the bank to gather interest. :) I guess if I had to use it to buy something though, I would travel around the world or something like that, going to countries such as France, Japan, Hong Kong, etc. That would be so fun!

I would pay all my debts off (student loan), buy a condo and put the rest away in a high interest savings. There are a few treats I would get, but nothing too big, some more basses, entertainment stuff, larger TV, some Apple products; iMac, iPad, stuff like that. I don't think I would go too crazy.

It also depends on how much is won, if it's 1 million, it's really not that much these days, a house will eat up one quarter to half of it (depending on the size of the house), then there's just living expenses, then people want to treat themselves, before you know it, it's almost gone; however, if it was a large jack pot, like here there's lotto max and it gets up to 50 million, while I'd still exercise caution, I would have more fun; I'd get a nice house, decent size, not too big. Put a studio in there for music; invest in some gear, more basses, and other instruments. There's furniting the house, entertainment stuff, and after all that, I'd be lucky to have used 3/4 of 1 million. I would also go to my dad and give him enough to retire and live comfortably, and enough for him to work on his projects; namely his old cars. I would do some travelling, go and get my music degree, and put the rest away in savings.

If I had a million dollars I'll buy my own house, car then go to Japan or Europe then do some business, etc.

Gotta agree with using Half in putting up a business. Then use the other half for spending. I personally would end up buying lots of Gunpla.

If I had one million dollar, I would probably stop working. I would enlarge my manga collection. Especially to support the mangaka. Further, I want to invest in stocks and spend money on horse races, at least once in my life. I will get a beach house, maybe in spain. I buy at least 3 cars e.g. a Porsche and I would participate in a race across a desert. I would go on vacation in dubai and buy there an island. And finally I would donate money for japan because of fukushima… you know. I think one million may not enough for all of this, but I will manage this with the interest from my bank and my returns from the horse races.

A million dollars doesn't take you far nowadays. Invest, invest, invest. I would invest all of it but over time into stocks, roth IRA, and metals. In the meantime, I would still work. By the time you retire you'll be living it real easy.
