As a rule of thumb with walls that use stock photos, you try to make it NOT seem like hte original photo at all. That is, you try to change the appearance by either brushing, filters, or whatever to the stock photo. The stock photo is just a base for the finished product, otherwise, you'll just be slapping on an anime character on a photo.
As for the flames, I think you'll have better luck with brushing, smudging, and/or liquify. Again, to make it fit with the anime character's style is better than realism... IMHO, anyways.

I'd have to agree with JTsang. It looks very akward to have just a plain photo behind a character. If you're going to go make the background yourself though, I really love the moon/cloud combo thats going on in the stock photo. You should try to simulate that as best as you can. Looks really cool behind Ichigo :P. I also don't understand what the flames have to do with anything, but I don't watch much Bleach, nor do I read it. That might be why.

I think the scan needs a bit more of a clean - the moire patterns are still quite visible on the sword.
Can't really advise on the stocks as it's not somethng I do ^_^

It is looking better, but it still looks slaped together. You need to better blend the different images. I think they mach him well though, and if you clean and blend him into the background it will be a nice looking wallpaper. Good luck and keep up the good work!
