Here are my first three attempts at making wallpapers. The Ichigo one is more of a gag, since I just saw the OVA #5 and HAD to make one. The Meet Jo Black one was an accident that I ran with, whereas the white one is the one I really wanted to do. My personal preference is to have alot of 'blank' space in a wall, where the icons can go, either on the left or on the right. But in the case of the leaf, I just have too much blank space and I have no idea what to do with it. I'd appreciate any input, but in particular on the leaf one. ~Thanks

hm.... the first one is looks like u went crazy with all the filters the second one is better, with a good scan the third one is just plain "wrong!" (you might get away with it) my suggestions for the 2nd one, maybe create an abstract design for the background then have either leaves or feathers falling down.... feather would be better choice tho since there already is some well.... for the strawberry king, im glad to see some people have a sense of humor best of luck to you =_=

The third one is a good idea but much much too blurry. My thought is that you found the image online and then blurred the hell out of it to make it not pixilated when big. Either find a higher res or fix it yourself without blurring the image. I would actually prefer leaves on the middle one rather than feathers. A loverly fall leaf background could really enhance it. The first one... you just went nuts with filters didn't you? I can see plastic wrap, sumi and others. Also the font really really sticks out on both the first and last one. Find better fonts for both of them. And in the first one I don't even think you need the font or the burst angel. I actually would like it with a bit less filter and those two things removed.

Please read the AP guide.. its one wall per thread.. its hard to reply this way...
Your first one has too much blur and filters and has too plain of a background, your second is just too plain against a white background, and the last one is simply an enlarged secreen cap.. Vector it or something.

Despite the appearance, the black one has only two filters applied to it, angled and dark strokes. As for the insignia and the letters: my original had neither. I just thought it was funny that she was black, her name is Jo, and you know, the movie.....anywho...I think I'll use a different font, maybe take out the logo, but I've grown fond of the joke :) Thanks for the input though, mangaddict.
As for the Ichigo one, yeah, its a screen cap. I spent about three hours fixing it up, but in the end all it looked like was a fixed up enlarged screen cap. I take it puppychow either doesn't watch Ichigo 100% or has no sense of humor; ShinsengumiX got what I was going for. As for the plainness of the sky, like I said I'm fond of plain. I think most walls on this place are too cluttered. Like the leaf one, thats my wall right now, just because I think the contrast between the center clutter and the outer clean is wonderful. I might add some glow to it though.
So, the pissing rabbit mentions vectoring it, does someone know a good vectoring tool? One not released by Adobe/Macromedia?

First one: Too dark! way to dark! though i love it how you turned it into a painting sort of look.
Second one: Absolute simplicity! but that's what i love about it, painting thing..
Third one: ....you have to much time on your hands.
