I'd go with the second one, since most of the character's face if in full color in that one, but it's hard to call if either would make the cut.

The extraction for the foreground scan of Cloud needs to be worked on; there's a lot of speckiness visible especially in the hair. I'm not too sure, but did you forget to also clean out that whitish bit between his hair and shoulder?

The faded face in the background is clearly enlarged from a much smaller image - you should consider vectoring, or find a large enough scan. As it is the quality is too low to be used. Also the remaining blank spaces, especially the light areas, are very big. Consider using some texture, if you don't wish to add more things to the background.

Since you're focusing on opposites, you might want to size up the text and make it more visible. Perhaps the words "good" and "evil" can be larger than the rest of the text. Also it might be a nice effect to have dark text on the light background and light text on the dark background instead of all one color.

Get rid of the leaves.. They have nothing to do with the theme... And don't compliment it either.. And then the other problems of extraction and whatever hamstersanonymous already stated...
