Wallpapers and Walling

The gradient thing isnt working out. Blue and White.. *shakes head* Try another color. Somehow I think darker tones would work out better. And the excessive amount of leaves and petals floating around is kind of a bother. The text needs some work too, as its font sorta is too blah and its positioning is not great. Especially the one on top.

Yeah college does bite... Hard...

Please do not lump wallpapers from different series together. It's a bit of a pain to concentrate on providing separate comments.

_ Rurouni Kenshin wallpaper _ Make the red X a bit more glowy. Other than that, I'm out of ideas. While I don't see much problem with this wall (it's a bit empty though), it feels a bit too cliched (the red X and glowy eyes tactic).

_ DNAngel _ 01. Give shadows underneath Daisuke to provide him with a floor 02. Leaves don't really look like leaves. Might want to go for feathers (not sure how the outcome will be) 03. Gradient background is a bit too plain but due to the lack of alternatives on my part, I'd suggest using a more abrupt color transition as opposed to the more gradual transition from blue to white. A more darker shade of blue (similiar to the one suggested above) might be useful.

I'm with dias........about kenshin wallpaper....fill the black background. and about d.n.angle .... u must re-work it about it....it is so simple

For the Kenshin wall, howcome the white line on the background shows through his hair. It just doesn't look right at all in my opinion.

The vector's pretty good, but not perfect. There are lumpy areas which need to be fixed, but generally, it's good!

The background could do with a little spicing up. It just looks to simple and the white lines don't do anywhere near enough to fill it. You need to add some brushes or effects or something.

It's shaping up okay though.

As for the other wallpaper, the DNA Angel one, it's certainly getting there. As Dias suggested, you need a shadow underneath the character.

I like the background characters, although I'm not sure they should show through the dark wings. The wings look like they should be opaque. Up to you though, it's just they look slightly weird to me.

Perhaps add some grass under the guy to make it look more realistic. Then maybe try with a sky and some clouds. See how it looks without the leaves/petals blowing around. Just experiment and don't give up on it. It's certainly getting there, it just needs some more work to make it really good and ready for submission to AP.

OK....DNAngel wallpaper: The leaves need to go. Daisuke needs the outlines on his clothes to be more visable. At the moment they look a little like scatterd lines to me. I do like the pictures of the Twins! They're cute.

Kenshin wallpaper: I like the white image of him in the corner, but the render looks like you just put a black hole in his face and then a giant X. Try making the background have something happening in it. Even if it is just some smooth effects.

Keep at it and you'll get it just right!! ^-^
