Ok, so I tried putting this in session zero awhile ago, and I was told I really needed to fix the picture of Spike. So I decided to vector it. Ugh, I don't think I'll ever vector again, but that's besides the point. The point is I need critiquing on the vector itself, and I need ideas for a background since I'm not really liking my old design now.
Here is my vector (someone tell me what's wrong with his eye ;_;):
And here is the wallpaper I had before the vector:
Thank you.

Well... The eye behind the hand is closed to much, I think you should open it a little more and show the eye in between the eyebrows a little more. And also, the lines are kinda jagged. Other than that, you did a pretty good job on that vector.

You defenitely put some effort in the vector, good job for your first time. Though, as Darklink said some lines are pretty jagged (I'm counting pixels...), which is very bad for a vector. Also, the grey detailed parts (or how to call 'm) look like you softbrushed them, which is, among with the imo too grey-ish base colors, destroying the clean effect of a vector. You have basically two options: recolor the vector or put a texture / grunge brush over it, depending on the type of bg. For example, in your old wall, you could grunge it a bit, so it fits the clouds and stuff. Oh, now that I meantion that wall: I do like it (except for the poor quality Spike)
Good luck.

Oh man, this is kinda creepy, but is this the thing you meant? That can't be right XD. Oh and I didn't try to fix the jagged lines, but I will.
Edit: I just feel like clouds aren't enough, but I don't want it to look too busy. That's why I don't know how to change that wallpaper.

BLend the outlines of the vecotor cause parts of it are jagged. THats the only thing I find a problem with the vector, nice coloring so all u need to do is wall it! goodluck!

The lines on the vector are still really jagged. You might have vector the entire thing over again even if you don't want to, unless you have some way of fixing the jagged lines.

there is no way to revector without actually revectoring it (you should the next time you do it) simulate brush strokes

K, this is by no means a final copy, but this is it for tonight. I tried to fix Spike's lines without having to revector them all, but nothing worked. It won't matter anyway since I'm not using him at that high of a quality. I plan on adding some sort of grunge effect to Spike ( ideas on how would be nice), Maybe making the wallpaper a higher quality, and somehow vector the logo without getting rid of its grungy look. imPanda, thanks for the background idea. I think it works well. Thanks again, everyone.

Update time. I fixed up the caligraphy a bit and increased the wallpaper resolution.
If anyone knows how to add a grungy effect, please feel free to tell me how that's done, unless you think Spike needs something else.

To be honest, I think it's a nice wall and all that, but it won't get accepted by AP. The wall you got now is basically 2 scan cutouts on another scan (as background). The whole picture is about right (not counting the still improvable Spike), but I doubt if AP accept such wall. If you're happy with it, I suggest using as your own desktop, but not trying to apply it here.
I don't want to make you sad about it, I admire the effort you put into this wall, but I can't help you out improving the wall as you have created it now. I'm very sorry and I really hope someone else can prove me wrong and help you out. Happy walling!

Yeah, I was kinda afraid of that, but then how could people get by with just a vector? Example: Cowboy Bebop Wallpaper
Now, I'm not putting down that wallpaper or anything, I'm just wondering how a simple vector could pass.
