I like the BG, but the letters need to be more notisable and fit with the BG more

There are some noticeable jagged lines in the hair. But yeah, just make the text a little bigger, and it'll look pretty neat.

you have a mirror image going on in your background (with the street sign) you need to fix that, you could prolly just make the bg a little bigger so it would't be so obvious.

I feel this background looks a bit too colorful against the browns and reds you have on the scan... But it's pretty.

Everybody told you about your text not obvious enough and indeed you have extraction issues on her hair. To make your character a bit more blended in the background, you should probably take off this dark outline you put around her... It looks strange to add a background where she's suppose to fit and making her sticking out of it this way... Hope you see what I mean ;)

That's a really nice scan you've got there! There are extraction problems, as people before have mentioned, but I think it would look cool if you changed the lighting in the bg to match the lighting of the scan. There is an obviouse light source coming from the top right of the girl, and it would be awesome if you could incorperate that into the background! It may be more work on your part, but if you could make her standing under a light post or make the sun visible, or just at least give what you've got now the orangy aura that the light from the scan is giving off. It looks great so far, good luck!

Anyway, the character scan you used is quite good, although when you look at her hair points, they look quite sharp. Soften them or try to solve it with an soft inner glow, that way it will take off the sharpness on alot of more points as well. The purple glow isnt necassery and doesnt quite fit the character with the background. It isnt really disturbing but it might be better to remove it.

Main problem with this wallpaper is the background, the style differs truely from the character. I do not know if you are familiar with vectoring, but maybe you could vector the background and make it a bit more abstract. The background now is really painted water verve style.

Remember that creating wallpapers is really an expression of what you are wanting to show/tell (hidden message?) us. Many people can disagree with a style but as long as you like it, its good, because its YOUR creation.
