This is pretty much the first time I've ever opened a graphics editor in my life, I saw some of the work people have done on this site and decided to try my own. So I downloaded The Gimp and did a little cut and paste.
[Edit] Well, this is where it's at, from the one I posted before, it was my first time and I had no idea what was going on. 9(>_>) As I posted that I was looking up different ways to make a wall how I wanted it. Thanks for your comments, they helped! (work in progress)

Paitences, process, and finally skill. Remeber, filters are easy, but generaly there is always a better way to get things done. The more filters you use on something the less original it becomes.

It doesn't look sketchy, it looks filtered. (filtered => angry mods => rejection => paper fine) I'm sorry but I'm not understanding feel you want to give, and I don't think it's because I haven't seen the recent episodes >_< Since it's your first time, I suggest you just use one scan of the same character and work with is as focal point. And get rid of the black border at the top and the bottom.

Hi nice scan you used there, but I think the lines are too bold. You might try using smoother and smaller font for the text. Also try adding something to the background. The background is the place where you can show your creativity and originality in making wallpaper IMHO. I'm a first timer too, and I'm still learning so I cold be wrong, but I hope this helps. Keep trying, though and good luck.
