Hello everyone ^_^ I made another Suikoden wall.
It's here
I wanted this to be a dark wallpaper but I can't seem to decide what background to make. I've tried to add some abstract shapes or rays of light but it ended up too crowded. I like the flowers so I wanted to keep it. They're from the original scan
Anyways, I'm open for constructive (or even destructive -_-) critiques or any suggestions. Thanks beforehand everyone.

great work.. i love the colors... yeah i agree with you, abstract shapes will make this look too crowded.. i would use different textures at the bg... and play with the lighting.. try to keep the bg focused on the main image... goodluck!

I like the simplicity of this wall, very effective. However, I do feel there needs a little more than just a black background, perhaps brushing the background a bit. I'd also suggest softening the edges a bit (using feather). Since there's such a contrast, it might make it a smooth transit. But other than that, it's a good wall.

Okay, how's this? I brushed the background and added the text.
I made other versions with different color schemes too, but I'll upload it later. For now I'll stick with this one. Please tell me what you think of it. Thank you |(C_C)|

i like the blue version more... but there are still some issues.. the scan looks a bit like floating... try to blend it more with the backgroung.. You could add some shadows, that might help.. i would also try other colors on the scan.. to see how it looks.. maybe some light blues.. Also.. the text is not matching, try another font.. Looking good so far.. keep up ;]

How about now? Added the rays of light and brushed some shadows onto her. I'm not good at doing lightings >_< so yeah I'm kind of confused... Maybe just ditch the ray of light idea and just stick to the original? Oh, and Clara I had a hunch you're going to say there's still something wrong with the text *runs away and hide* What kind of font do you think best suits this wall? Gothic? Grungy? Simple? Swirly? Or maybe I should change the placement of it? Thanks for the useful suggestions BTW ^_^

the ray of light one is a lot better, but the character needs to blend in more with the background...casting shadows would be really helpful. for example having a shadow of the women on the background, maybe have some shadows for the flowers. how about adding a gradient to the character...select the character and apply a white to black (or gray to black) gradient and change the settings around (try decreasing the fill and/or opacity, change the mode, etc). how about adding a glow to the edge to the character where the rays are hitting on her (you could add some to he flowers as well)
there are some ideas, but me personally i think it looks great now and doesn't need too much more work

Light blue version, added some drop shadow effect. I'm not so sure about this...
