Konichiwa^^! This is my first try with wallpapers. I use Photoshop since two years, but only to do forum signs, so i know the basics and some more; the problem is i never did any wallpaper! The main problem for me, when i started this one, was that i see a lot of incredible wallpapers here, even in Session Zero, and they have beautiful background. Doing signs for a long time means that my maximum background was 400x150, so i don't know how to create a good background for a wallpaper, that is a lot bigger T.T !!
For this one i decided to try a simple concept, without an elaborated background, but i don't think i'm good enough to do that.
So i want to ask you guys two things:
1) how can i create the beautiful backgrounds i see on this sitee? Ok well, the simplest way I can tell you how to do lots of these things is to just go to This thread in the Ohayou group and checkout all the useful tutorials and things that Danalm has so generously provided for our use. They are VERY helpful even for the veteran waller.
You might want to learn to vector, because the question always comes up. "How Do I vector? Everyone else seems to do it" Here is the one I used to learn how. Simple, easy to follow.
As for your wallpaper:
Yes, I think the text needs to go. I can also see the edge of the scan in your wallpaper, near the bottom. Might want to get rid of that. For the background, you can look through the list in the first link I provided and see what all tutorials you could use to your advantage.

Thank you for the answer :) Can you be more specific on where you see the edge? Probabilly that's my monitor(i'm not on my PC now) but i can't see that =( ) Another thing, what do you exactly mean with "I think the text needs to go" ? I can't understand the meaning well, sorry ;( )..

when she says the text has to go she's saying it doesn't fit well with the wallpaper and maybe you should take the fonts out of it
and i agree with her.. maybe keep the death note logo but make it a little smaller.. it grabs my attention about as much as the scan of night and L but the phrase "everyone has an evil side ..what's yours" i think it would be better off much smaller or not there at all ..other than that i think vectoring the scan of the light and L might be better than using the actual scan

Thank you for the tips! I didn't have so much time to work on it but i think tomorrow morning i'll try to read that Vector giude because..i actually don't know what Vector is in graphic :D . Anyway, i'll also resize the DN Logo and i will try to make a version with the written and another without it, to see which one is better. Thank you again guys|(o_o)

Cool, my HDD just broke and i lost the PSD of this wallpaper >_>I think i'll restart with another one, still thanks for the links. I will use them for sure to improve my techniques^^
