i haven't seen a topic about silent hill (unless i'm seriously blind), so i thought of making one for the sh fans. XD
i'd like to know who played any of the serie's games, specifying which one and how much they liked/hated it. and... well, discuss about everything about silent hill ! XD if you're about to spoil anything, don't forget to put a spoiler alert.
i have, only for now, finished playing the third one. i wish i had played the first and second one before, even tho it's not that important if they are not in order. it just would have made more sense for me! it's probably one of the creepiest game i ever played (i have to say i don't play a lot of games, because i'm always stuck in the middle XD). the music makes it so scary and... the radio. err. i hated it so much! but i didn't dare to turn it off, just in case. XD i ran a lot in the shopping mall. the amusement park was creepy too, haha. i also liked the fact that there were riddles and that... yes, there was a story, even if you only know about it after the first part of the game! XD i liked it. graphics were gorgeous, especially once heather is in the church. beautiful, beautiful! the details are awesome (for example the blood on the wall, the stains, etc.) too bad it was short. D:
i'm currently trying to finish the room (4th one the serie)... damn. so hard, even on normal. XD i had a lot of trouble to move henry at first. right now, i'm on *that* part... if you know what i mean. the annoying one. D: i hate how i have to run back to the appartment because henry can't hold more than 10 (is it?) items on him. i have to say ghosts are really a pain in the ass, monsters are attacking like everytime. i don't want to use the gun, i feel like i will need it later, but i probably won't (just like in silent hill 3 , i had a lot of ammo left). anyway, it's really difficult in my opinion! ._. running away is like impossible. XD too bad there are no riddles this time. the story is good tho, i like it so far! and of course graphics are as awesome as usual. i just find it funny how henry move, he looks like a robot. i keep laughing everytime he says "what the hell?"!! XD

i actually screamed my head off when my brothers were playing that game... especially when they were walking down that dark, dark forest and they were suddenly attacked by those creatures!

meh i don't really like Silent Hill... I got scared near the beginning because i all i have was just a stick and i can't see anything...
Clock Tower 3 was scary... all i have was just holy water =\

silent hill is the only game that scare me XD I only finish to first only (because I dont have a ps2 but I play the other three in the home of my cousin) and they are so scary.Jo Jo

I LOVE Silent Hill!!! At first, I was a big fan of Resident Evil, then I heard about Silent Hill, that seemed really promising... I played the first one... and I was in love! Love is not really the best word to describe it, as Silent Hill is scary and glaucous, dark and strange, but the story and the very special environment definitely got me! As soon as it was released, I bought Silent Hill 2, and again, it was amazing! one of the best story i saw on a video game! but really depressing T_T Of course, I bought the third one too, excellent original soundtrack by the way, which was great, as always, but too short! only about 5-6 hours, that's not enough!!! Finally I played Silent Hill 4 : The Room, definitely the one I like the less, I can't say it's all bad, but I was disappointed about almost every points : characters, story, environnment :/ the second part of the game is annoying as the gameplay sucks T_T but the references to the Silent Hill saga save the game, as the third level, the best for me! And now, I'm waiting for more infos about Silent Hill 5... if they ever make it!!!

I've always wanted to play Silent Hill! It looks so good, but really scary. I usually stay away from horror games, the only one I have ever played is Clock Tower 3. That game had me screaming out loud like a maniac, it was freaky!

well, I'm really not waiting for the movie, as I think it will be difficult to create an environment as scary and strange as the games... but anyway, I can't say that it IS gonna be a bad movie, as it's not even finished!!! But I'm a little bit scared of the result, I'm not a big fan of Christophe Gans :/ I enjoyed Crying Freeman, but didn't like 'Le pacte des loups' so I really doubt about a Silent Hill Movie... Even if movies and videogames tend to become very close, it's not the same relation between the media and the player/viewer... Making a Silent Hill Movie is really ambitious et dangerous... The only man i could see, making a good movie with Silent Hill saga is David Lynch... but that's only my opinion of course, and maybe I will be surprised, positively, by the movie!! Wait and see!

Hahaha They´re Great!!! But one time i´ve gone through the darkness and those creatures appears suddenly... I was scared as HELL and i shut off immeadiately. But the Boss Fights are Awesome!! I love it.

oh yeah, the ost are really nice! well, i don't really like the first one, it's hum... i don't really know how to describe it. the music looks like it's been the one you hear when you play or something. but then again, i never played the first one. XD
i almost forgot about the movie, but i'll probably watch it once it's out.

i can say part 1 till part 4 i also like but story of part 3 not so like, i preffer the room :D really a nice game n scary game! :D

i played all SH games, well the best out there is no doubt SH1, why? coz its first :P ehem
also i like how Konami made all those connections between all SH games, how SH1 and Sh3 are connected...also the music in those games is just awesome, the best for me is from SH3 *_*.
The worst SH for me is the Room, i have a feeling Konami realesed it to fast, plot is naive, and also maps are not very good _^_ but i cant say anything bad about audio or video...i played it on 6.1 Creative and all sounds were just awesome ;)
