Which game do you like better? Personally for me I like Street fighter more then DOA. It has nothing to do with the graphics or anything. I just think the Street Fighter specials are cool.

This wallpaper deserves to be highlighted because of many reasons:
The fence looks so real and detailled that you can almost touch it. In many cases, wallers copy and paste similiar objects of the background (e.g. flowers). But this fence looks like it has been drawn stroke by stroke.
The colours and combination of highlights and shadows create a dark and mysterious atmosphere which suits the manga perfectly. I'm glad dolce-yasmin didn't stick to the original colours which wouldn't be as effective as the brown tone.
Not to forget the vector itself which is not only a huge improvement of the original scan, but also shows you dolce-yasmin's improvement of her vectoring skills!

Street Fighter is the better game, but I think I have more fun with DOA.
DOA is more about being fun then having the best gameplay, if that makes any sense. I love playing as cute girls, and unlocking cute and fun costumes, admiring the graphics, and following the character's silly storylines. A lot of the moves are so adorable too! Sometimes I use moves more for the cuteness factor then to dish out damage.

i grew up with street fighter 2 on snes but i never played DOA for more than 20 minutes though so iono
however i really appreciate games with history (supermario, zelda, ff, etc.) so i would say street fighter is better

I love both SF and DOA, but there's really no chosing one over the other for me since they're so different in nature.

You can really compare the two. SF characters have special powers and the DOA characters are more realistic with moves that can be done in real life (most of them anyway). I personally like DOA more because the combat system is just better. You can do reversals, combine throws, destroy terrain, and other stuff.

I like them both, but for different reasons, Street Fighter was one of the first fighting games I played when I was younger and the series has really come a long way since the 16bit days and in my opinion just keeps getting better. And DOA is definitely impressive visually and has a great fighting system and really difficult bosses.
It??s not easy to choose but if I had to pick one to play for 3 hours plus it would be DOA.

Street Fighter II is a legend. One of the first 2D fighting game ! I played it so many hours ! But it's hard to compare 2D and 3D game.
2D fighting game I played the most : SF2 3D fighting game I played the most : DOA
Today I don't play SF2 anymore, I'm fond of DOA !!

I don't like DOA. My friend compared it to rocks paper scissors. If you can pick the right reversal, you win. The reversals in that game deal waay too much damage. (In the version I played at least...) And I think the game is more eye candy than anything. Ninjas with big boobs? :ninja: Riiight. And the DOA Beach Volleyball game kinda supports my point.
Street Fighter requires more strategy, timing, and skill in general. And its more fun.

Well, nice to see that people actually know what they are talking about here =)
Sure, DOA is easy to pick up and easy to master, but give me a little time and then I can win any game only using two buttons. Even some newcomer to the game could beat someone who had played it for ages. Never would happend with SF2.
So for me it is 100% 2d fighting and Street Fighter. DOA is just an example of how sick the minds are at Tecmo, ever tried DOA for PS? Don´t do if you don´t like bouncing breasts deluxe...

nothing can beat street fighter as far as Im concerned.

Alright I love StreetFighter and all. It has been the bench mark, the meter stick where every other fighting game has and will be measured. No one I know hasn't played it. Hell, God knows how much time I used to spend in my room just playing the damn thing. But now, with so much new innovations on games I find the SF series to be drab and jaded. Capcom hasn't changed the gameplay much, making it a little boring.
DOA was a pretty mediocre game in the PS. But I will say that I loved DOA2 for the dreamcast. I know its eye candy but beyond that it had was a good game. Its gameplay was fast and furious. The counter function gives the gamer a feeling of hope. With one well-timed counter you could turn the tide, making the hunter the hunted. It was a nice game.... AND Hayabusa could that whirling thing in the air just like Lee from Naruto. =D
I may be the only one to say this but I like DOA(2) better.

I agree totally on the fact that any button mashing beginner can give you a hard time. SF requires more skills to master the moves and all, but you gotta admit that DOA is a pretty fun game to play with a bunch of cute female characters. OUt of the 2 I like them both especially the SF alpha series.....but like what oro77 said....u can't really compare 2D games with 3D games....a better comparison would've been something like SF vs KoF (2D) and DOA vs Tekken (3D).
