First of all which Castlevania are you speaking of. There's a lot of castlevania games out.

Ehehe if ur talking in general I played the NES version it was cool but I never get to finish it,same goes for the 2nd and 3rd part. As for symphony of the night I tried it and find it cool also but same with the others I never get to finish it XP. Currently I'm playing the latest PS2 version ^_^

SOTN is such a good game. I recently found the rare Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo so I'm playing that right now. It's really good.

i havent really messed with the newer 3D castlevanias, but CASTLEVANIA III, SUPER CASTLEVANIA IV & CASTLEVANIA SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT are the GOAT.

The 3D Castlevanias lack in a lot of areas but they are quite enjoyable if you get used to seeing the same corridor/room and monsters over and over again. The gameplay is pretty good but still, I prefer 2D over 3D.

well ..... to me ... castlevania is like devil may cry series ...every thing looks so similiar ...of cause except the magic attack system ....but overall is so like devil may cry ....

i wonder ...... will castlevania be copying ??

Castlevania SOTN is probably the best Castlevania game ever made. Everything about the game is great. I beat the crap out of that game (203%). It's all about getting the Crissaegrim as soon as possible (get from schmoo's in the upsidedown library). Who ever named all of the items must have been reading the Silmarillion during game development.

I love this series, one of my favorites. I've beaten everyone and got %211 (the highest possible) on SOTN.

I love castlevania!!! But only in 2D. i mean like PS, GB series. PS2's castlevania is in 3D form, although the graphic is very good, but the gameplay is not so attractive. so far NDS' castlevania and PS' cstlevania is my most favourite castlevania.

I hope you mean only the 3D games. Also, first 3D castlevania game came out wayyy before Devil May Cry so eventhough there are some similarities, its probably only because they share the same genre.

I hade a Castlevania marathon now in the begginng of the year. With SoTN and AoS DoS and started with the original nes games but didnt have the time for them. The serie is great ;D

I only got to play the 3 games out to gba and i couldnt stop playing them till i finished! they are awsome and i really enjoyed the gameplay and story.Great game

well in my opinion all castlevania games are great all from snes to ps2 to gameboy advance and the nintendo DS. the best castlevania i have ever play is SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT. but Lament of innocence for the ps2 is really good to. right now i am playing dawn of sorrow for the nintendo ds. i also have curse of darkness for the ps2 but i havent had a chance to play it but i am looking forward to play it as soon as i get some time. but if you wanted to buy any castlebania game in my opinion just pick one, because you can go wrong
