Maybe one day I will get it. As it is, there are too many issues with the PS3 and as a first gen PS2 owner I refuse to make the mistake of buying a first gen sony system again. I'll probably pick one up one day but probably after I get a 360 and Wii

Hehe...i think it's better to have a topic "Does anyone WILL BE buying a PS3?" PS3 is undoubtly a great console for hardcore gamers(like myself) but I think getting one now is just using all my pocket money into a big black box...excluding the games! I will get one that's for sure, but the earliest will be next year, like clint87 said, first gen stuff are just too risky... We don't know how the blu-ray disks will react in the market...And the console itself will MAYBE have better OS in the future...who knows... So, better wait till everything settles down...

I will be getting a PlayStation 3 for sure. It won't be anytime soon though. It is way too expensive and no good games are out for it yet in my opinion. I'll wait until it gets a price drop.

No not it not worth it rigth now cause people are hurting others for a game system. And it not that serious .Plus Xmas is around the corner it will be crazy.

I bought a first gen PSX, so I will wait I think, otherwise I may smell cooking plastic again, but I will definitely buy, nontheless, maybe third or fourth gen.

Did anyone hear about the people that got shot at with BB pellets as they were in line to get a PS3? I'm just mad I hadn't preordered one because they are selling on eBay for insane prices. I saw an auction end at $15k!

I'm getting minds for chrismas cause i preordered it so there was no need to go through all that crazy stuff so really i'm not in a rush to pick minds up.

I'll probably not get the PS3 for a while. Not until there are enough good games for the system to make it worth the price to me. Is the system really coming with a blue-ray copy of "Taladega nights" right now?

Anyway, did anyone know that Sony is losing money on the PS3? They lose $200 on every $500 system sold and they lose $300 on every $600 system sold. They are doing it to try and get the systems as well as the blue-ray that comes with them on the market. It's a gamble on the long-term profitability of the PS3 (games and blue-ray movies from their entertainment division).

I found that pretty interesting. I guess that's what they where talking about when they said that "the system is probably too cheap".

I'm not in a hurry to get it. I'm suprised to see it on ebay for about 2 to 3k. I didn't feel like waiting in lines for a couple days to get. Eventually I will get it and hopefully around late December.

Dam!! Now I have to get me one!!! Think about it the PS3 is so *******amazing that is worth killing for.

all i can say is that PS3 sucks right now since it has NO good games at all for the release. I doubt i'll be getting one at all (although i admire the exterior and advanced graphics it has). Wii seems more promising to me as of now.

I want to get one for FFXIII but the Wii's price and launch titles are pulling me in I might pick the Wii up on Black Friday

I'm going to get one in one year's time. I think one year is long enough for Sony to fix all the problems with it. They need to make it to where it's using all the processing cores and form what I've been hearing the HDMI ports aren't working either, so I'll get a 360 and Wii first, but I will be getting a PS3 once the kinks are worked out.

I had 3 of them I had to sell them on ebay for like 900 I just shipped the last one yesterday. The box looks cool though. Lol.
