i played it on my xbox back in the day, but since i'm rhythmically challenged, i stopped. it was fun, but my skill capped, and i didn't care to push myself.
as a side note, the period and enter keys are your friend.

You work at Galactic, huh? So you get all the free games you want, I guess? Lucky you.
I only really started playing DDR in '07 since there was no way I was going to make a fool of myself playing at arcades and also that DDR has virtually been impossible to find for the ps2 in Australia (even now); so I modded my ps2 and imported:
(US)DDR EXTREME 2 (comes with (JP)Festival disc) (US)DDR Supanova 2
(JP)DDR MAX (JP)DDR Strike (equivalent to US's EXTREME 2, different track selection) (JP)DDR Extreme (JP)DDR MAX 2 7th Mix
So now I'm getting good and might one day play in an arcade. (and don't nobody ask me where I live and if I want to meet up 2 battle or whatever. I'm telling you now, no.)

isn'T there already a topic with nearly the same theme. "step mania" or something like this. well, nevermind then i give my opinion here once more^^. I think the game is fun. But when i played it it i was very young so i can't remember my score anymore. But i remember when i get this game i get many other games at the same time. so i hadn't played it that often. And i doesn't like the songs in the game. If there would be just some anime and game music than i would play it very long xD. Until i get it very good. (XD) I wonder wether there would besomething like this for the hands. Maybe on wii. The balance board is a good start (XD) . Did someone knows wether it is posible to play this with a song witch i want to. or make it by myself?

I got interested back when I was in middle school. I finally bought the game for the Wii, which the handmarkers are probably one the worst ideas. You're basically punching left and right, nothing interesting really. =/ I wish they had done something more than simply punch right and left. However on the bright side, you can use that as an excuse to "accidently" knock your opponent off balance. lol. DDR is fun but I'd rather hook my mat to my computer, since Stepmania is much more entertaining to play. ^^;;

I rarely play this kind of game. Because it seems aimless. And I can't put myself in a aimless action for too long.

I actually use DDR for exercise. I spend 9am-9pm in front of a computer doing work, so I don't get much time to move around. I usually take an hour in the day to play some DDR because it lets me relax, and I enjoy it, so I'm prone to do it longer than say...go for a walk. It's a fun game, but I use it as more of a workout. In fact, the DDR for the wii (which is what I play now)has a workout mode that will measure calories burned (assuming you're not cheating) so you can set a goal and play until you reach it.

I used to play this game like crazy on the third highest difficulty but I've stopped since then partly because I haven't had time and I've lost all my skills because I get tired now after one song.

I played it infrequently in middle school since some of my friends really liked it. I never really started playing a lot until high school though. I play heavy now. I normally play at the arcade or I play Stepmania. I rarely play on my PS2 now... It's just fun to have my own songs.

Used to be good at it, but my small room+fickle focus+PS# have deteriorated my skills and now I get winded much more easily.

First of all, I don't mean to Hijack your thread:
I do play DDR, and have done it for about... 7 years now, but about 3 years ago I started playing Pump it Up, does anyone play that? It is far more challenging and fun because it has 5 buttons. Both single and dual pad dancing looks much cooler than DDR. If you don't know what Pump it Up is just YouTube it and I am sure you can find some awsome videos.

It's a funny and relaxing game but I like to play rpg or action game more I think it's hard for me 555+ I never play to finish if the song have 4+ foot --"

I'm not a huge fan of DDR, but that's probably because I'm one of the most un-coordinated people on the planet. I have a hard time deciphering right from left, and that does no good when trying to play a game of rhythmical direction.
It's not just rhythm games, I'm awesome at the Guitar Hero series. But that has to do with moving your hands. Not feet.

Well...I play it in my home or in the game center.Same w/ Kalico.I used it for an exercise. Before I was great at it but I play it rarely now coz I'm too busy so I almost never play it in the game centre coz it's embarassing if we're failed XP
