I'm not gifted with the ability to draw well unlike so many others here ;_;.
But i do enjoy playing with large quantities of commonplace items trying to meld my own perceptions and emotions into a flowing hopefully aesthetically pleasing piece.
Any and all opinions welcome, enjoy.^^;

man i gotta say... that is art museum quality work rite there ^^ im not a real art critique but my favourite is the last piece. after i look at it i feel there is a deep meaning behind why you placed everything where they are... the way i see it is there are multiple steps, each representing a war, and together they form a staircase... and when they all meet, peace will be achieved... however the wires entangling the staircase prevent that from happening. blood effects, black paint... give the piece of art a dark mood. it really allows the viewer to understand the message trying to be expressed through the artwork.
the other ones are really good as well! the third one goes really well with the fourth.. i think it is like a tribute to all the fallen in the wars and stuff, their souls representing the paper birds. and the bottled emotions is really original!
how long did it take you to do all that?

Wow^^; I'm really flattered you think so highly of my work. The head of department of art where i went to school at really didn't like the center piece of the latter piece, he thought i should just make a sea of boxes with cranes instead=/. I wanted to give it a deeper, stronger meaning but i was really pressed for time so i just manged to complete the whole piece within 3 weeks. The cranes really took forever to make >_<. Ummm with the first piece... working with glass, fishing line and clear OHT sheets is pure murder! That piece took roughly a week of work and was mainly about my bottled thoughts / emotions at the time.
This being a subject im rather passionate about i really could go on for a long time i'll do my best to refrain from spilling too much unnecessary information. >_<
The latter piece was my own response to the various genocides, wars and civil wars that occurred throughout the 19th century. I tried to put in alot of emotion and meaning to this piece, the countless number of innocent dead, their souls raising up from the turmoil and destruction soaring to the heavens was somthing i really wanted to captivate. You pretty much hit the rest of the aspects i wanted to express and portray spot on^^;.
I really appreciate your comments and found it very interesting to see your own opinions and interpretations. ^_^
