It's starting to get interesting again.

A mysterious man who carried a bowl of Ramen enters Ichigo's new working place and makes a request for finding one man. None other than Ichigo' father Isshin. Infuriated Ichigo reveals himself as his son. This man claims that he doesn't no sh@# about his father's past,...

... so this is a real indication that the long awaited orgin's of Ichigo's family will soon begin.

In the mean time Ichigo's sister approaches near Urahara's store. Could it be for training in the Arts of Shinigami???

so i guess, we're finally picking up our last question regarding Isshin's mysterious past and apparently, Urahara's involvement with Isshin. so does this mean, we are on a serious arc and may have to tackle the background of Gotei 13 itself?

sidenote:

Reiatsu? --- >> Ichigo --->> ok!!!

Well, Urahara probably wants to find out whether Ichigo's sister Karin has the talent to follow in Ichigo's footsteps, ever since the day in which big brother Ichigo has lost his Shinigami powers due to the usage of the Final Getsuga Tenshou...

I understand what u r saying but the story seems to be slow because we are reading it one chapter every week. If u switched to reading completed volumes instead of chapters, u will find that it is a much more bearable experience.

Having said that, I dont understand why Kubo felt the need to have the mysterious guy appear in Ichigo's workplace, with bowls of ramen, asking Ichigo to investigate Isshin when it seems like he already knows Ichigo is Isshin's son and that there are many things Ichigo dont know about his father. I'm thinking mystery guy is Isshin's son. Ichigo's half-brother.

Isshin's old, wouldn't surprise me if he had another son with a different woman before he met Ichigo's mom.

http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/24808686/17

Your old man huh? What a coincidence. < ----- Coincidence that it's his father too. Or just coincidence that Ichigo knows who Isshin is.

Do you really know enough to answer? No. You shouldn't know a thing about your family.

This guy is definitely somehow related to Isshin/Ichigo. My money is on half-brother. Or the ramen guy is very well informed. Maybe Kurosaki family has a very dark secret...

Crack theories:

Ichigos memories have been manipulated... Maybe the Grand Fisher incident with Masaki has something more to it?

Karin and Isshin know something that Ichigo once knew, but lost his memories about it.

ARGH!!!

I WANT NEXT CHAPTER SO BADLY!!! wow at this chapter.. very suspenseful chapter.. ichigo getting his powers back must mean hes getting a new zangetsu ... like his fathers.. it seems zangetsu's evolve or something by achieving the maximum power of zangetsu and doing the final getsuga.. You lose your powers and gain them again.. a new power.... Something all kurosakis seem to do.. it seems its karin turn with zangetsu. Lots of hints, lots of clues, but what are they hints to? Information. Information that will likely be a long conversation between Isshin and either Ichigo or this unnamed guy. Information we could have been told in quicker ways that make more sense. (Remember that talk they never had?)

I'm not lamenting that there's nobody sword swinging. I would thank you not to assume that. I'm lamenting the fact that this 'plot' is excessively slow, could easily be done in a better way, and there's no excitement unless you're the same type of person that likes after school shows involving teenage kids and their daily routines(I'm LATE for my part time job! ZOMG). I've listed probably a dozen ways in this thread and others it could be spiced up. Yes, a guy with a family, who works(owns? I forget) at a Hospital that's you know, using his own name, with a house, is NOT hard to find if you can do just a little digging. The reason they never hunted the vaizards and Urahara and co was because they just didn't care. Otherwise, Rukia would have reported back that some guy named Urahara in a place called Urahara Shop, that matches a description of someone on the run from the death penalty is hanging out in Karakura Town. Field agents (what Rukia was) tend to check up on things like a most wanted list.

Here's the thing. This is not a new manga. If it was new, this would be fine, because we have to learn about the characters. However, we don't. Would it have been so terrible to play catch up for 1 issue, introduce new characters in another, and then roll out the plot? It doesn't have to be a speed thing, but for fraks sake, do we have to have moments like- "This is Ishida. He's aged about how you would expect. He's the smartest in school, so he's naturally become the class president or w/e. He still hunts hollows!" I mean, really? It's not like we forgot who he was. THAT'S what bothers me. I enjoyed this chapter. The new designs are quite appealing and we now get a taste of what this arc will revolve around. I knew Kubo would be doing the Isshin backstory but I am pleasantly surprised at this approach. It lets him conveniently go over some Bleach old lore in the more current setting of the main cast living out their lives and not on some fantastical adventure in a faux Edo period or the alien desert of Hueco Mundo. I like that we've started out with the main cast worrying about their futures, it reminds us that fighting the supernatural wasn't something that they wanted for their futures, they their own aspirations before things fell in their lap. Now though it seems things have caught up to Ichigo from two fronts, his dad and his sister. There are a lot of ways Kubo can play it from here which is what excites me most of where the story currently stands.

Another pleasant surprise is a Hell story one-shot along with the chapter next week. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks : )

And for some of the others, when he says coincidence referring to that being Kurosaki's dad he's just continuing the whole it was a coincidence that I happened to walk into this shop that you work at thing. He's just messing with Ichigo, not yet willing to explain that he has sought him out (and likely sought him out by following his reiatsu).

And for the person who posted that jinta had to wear a glove, they were referring to the person he throws the ball to wearing a glove, so that they could catch it without hurting their hand.

so Karin would become a shinigami in the future huh? what would then happen to Ichigo.. it seems a little strange when Ichigo said that when he lost his reiatsu, and that blast off Karin's potential right?

I wonder who came to visit Urahara..

Well, with Karin possibly becoming the next Shinigami in the Kurosaki family, Ichigo would have one more person to worry about... for sure. I mean, she didn't visit Urahara for no reason. I wonder what kind of Bankai she is going to develop if she is really seeking for training...

Anybody who remembers any fillers, has witnessed her talent in sensing spirits.

I guess Zaraki Kenpachi is already missing Ichigo like crazy 'cause he doesn't have anybody to pummel now.

i was aware of Karin's ability to sense Reiatsu, but to no avail, that part wasn't expanded. i guess, she was on alert and could not tolerate the events of her life as her potential increases.. but Soul Society would not accept this that easily either..

this would spell a lot more trouble for the Kurosaki family.. Zaraki didn't have his revenge rematch againts Ichigo, although i'm sure he would be satisfied atleast to pass the time with Byakuya..

Yes right, the other Shinigami would treat Karin the same way as they did with Ichigo, like a piece of Sh%$@ .

As you have all witnessed most Shinigami treat Ichigo as an outsider or a nuisance with only a few accepting him which include Rukia, Renji, Kenpachi (as his favorite punching bag rival). Some Shinigami are playing their sarcastic pranks at him, like that mad scientist Mayuri Kurotsuchi.

I think that mysterious man that visited Ichigo maybe a Shinigami as well...

So what do you guys think of the new arc so far? This new chapter was very interesting with Ishida being attacked and Ichigo getting the XCUTION card

Bleach is boring. No matter what Ichigo and co. are up against, it will never be fatal. I wish Kubo would shock us and kill off someone important for once.

pretty interesting-- especially since someone took out Ishida in one go which is far more devastating than Perfect Hollow-Ichigo. i wonder where did these people originated. i mean, how many bad secrets does Soul Society have to end it up like these or does it all have to do with the Kurosaki family..

I'm honestly just baffled by Ishida being destroyed. THe arc I think is just warming up though. I like the layout so far and on how their just piling up mystery after mystery. I hope turns out to be something great. Tite hasn't let me down so far!

Yeah this new twist was very interesting. I wonder who the new group is and how many people are in it. ALso wonder if Kisuke knows about them or maybe is a member. cause he seems to know a lot about everything thats going down.

i'm sure Urahara knew something about these. i mean, he was in the Research department before so that goes without saying how well informed he is about Soul Society and those which relates to reiatsu.

or they may have a link to Isshin himself, since the question about his past was raised in that last arc.

Seeing how all of these people know one another is going to be very interesting. Im also really curious how Urahara knows Isshin. I also think Aizen will fit in somewhere with all these connections.

Avatar for elleztim

i do bet Aizen knows a thing or two since his interest wouldn't start at the time Ichigo invaded Soul Society just to save Rukia. that as noted, Urahara seems to be the central guy here and Isshin is a key player to this new arc but from what we are seeing right now, i hold the entire Kurosaki family at the stage -- Ichigo may have been involved into something deeper here.

pretty interesting. i hope they're not just petty characters inserted to the series. i mean, the focal point here is now the human world and hearing them say that they are motivated to "help Ichigo regain his Shinigami powers" -- i think this would loosen out everything and throw another Big Bang for the title.

Well, well, well... Mr. Tite Kubo san has created another upcoming master piece for the fans here,... and for himself. So with this upcoming arc his future as a Mangaka is safe for another three to four years. A smart economic move.

Sorry for referring to economics again, but, this is the fact, since Japan's economy according to my Japanese host father and other news articles isn't really good.

But back to the topic, I mean,... "I was shocked" when I followed the latest edition of Naruto, how Kinjou Kuugo got to the point in telling Ichigo that their motive was to restore his Shinigami powers. BAAAMM!!!! That got me right in my heart and joy. And how I am looking forward to the new arc.

And also, I remember, the way that Kuugo talked about Urahara, can it be that Urahara has a twisted motive after all. I am not sure now on which side Urahara is right now after what I have heard from Kuugo.

Sorry, Naruto, but Bleach is the World now...

Bleach is so amazing right now. This new twist really has me interested. I wonder what their motives are and why they want to get Ichigo his powers back. Sucks bleach is on break till january 4th :(

I am really pissed that the manga is still running after Ichigo lost his powers. Tito had the chance to bow out gracefully but he choose to keep the cash cow going.

Why should one be unhappy if we can expect another suspenseful, exciting adventure of Bleach. If Kubo keeps going, he's gonna top Naruto very soon. The last few days with the final Getsuga Tenshou was freaking amazing and drove us all nuts, including myself.

There are very good reasons to keep the series going since the quest of regaining Ichigo's Shinigami provides us with a huge amount of adrenalin. This indicates that Kuugo and his gang have many hidden motives and agendas up their sleeves that are yet to be clarified, thus they may know more about Ichigo's and Isshin's past than they have actually revealed.

Karin will play a big role in this.

Vampire-lover, where are you, we got a lot to discuss about...

so if Kuugo knows about Ichigo's sudden lost of reiatsu, that means he knows also about Aizen and Urahara's creation of Hougyoku and it also meant that they knew about the final getsuga?

wow, this development would probably end up in a more twisted situation than ever. well, wherever this arc goes, i'll be happy to follow it through and through.

@Maxi-Ryu99: i though bleach already topped naruto for a very long time? lol..
