Tensa did fuse with Ichigo but the reason why Urahara's seal worked is more complicated than that...yes Ichigo had a double role since he achieved the evolution that Aizen wanted and because his attack weakened him but there was also the emotional/psychologic reason...bottom line Aizen wasn't as stable as he looked...and if we were to believe Ichigo...he also didn't want that power anymore...

yeah, the translation might be the same but what i was implying is that Urahara referred to the Spirit/Soul King with the words "thing" and "it". he mentioned that it acts as a linchpin to everything.
Aizen that time was still in the progress of growing while Ichigo stops with his final getsuga. my point is that even while Aizen hasn't totally halted from his growth, the Hougyoku's focus was already shifted to Ichigo.
i can only say, the Hougyoku, Urahara, Isshin and Soul King plus Ichigo himself are tied together before and now, all of them are loose threads.

so for the latest chapter, Tsukishima seems confident to use his fullbring Book of Past into Byakuya's Zanpakutou. he said the it also applies to non-living object. good to see that i won't be easy.
he also said the he saw Byakuya's sword and techniques for too many times, implying that he knows very well about the shinigami. this meants Tsukushima had a long past with Gotei 13 and so with the soul society..

Chapter 468 was quite interesting, Tsukishima being able to cut a Zanpakuto and put himself in its past so that he knows all its moves is a very dangerous ability. Will be interesting to see what happens as the fight continues. Also cant wait to see Ichigo vs Ginjou

so it also means that the information they got about Isshin and Urahara and Ichigo is because Tsukushima have seen to the past of people related to them. like for example, Ichigo's friends would know everything about him and Tsukushima's Book of Past fullbring will enable him to obtain such information the way he did to Zenbonsakura..
that's really dangerous.. i wonder also if he can manipulate it over its own will to follow Byakuya.

I am more interested in knowing how he could keep up with Byakuya's speed...he has the fastest shunpo in all Soul Society...and Tsukishima managed to get behind him...but I also think Tsukishima will learn the hard way that if Renji trained to better himself, Byakuya wouldn't have been sitting idly.. but I agree with you...if Tsukishima learned about Byakuya in the memories of the ones he cut it might be that he learned about Isshin and Uruhara that way...but the question if they knew them before still remains even so...
maybe if he can use his own ability on himself he could make himself stronger...

@Muraki3777: i have a theory how Tsukushima was able to keep up with the only apprentice of the Goddess of Shunpo.. i'm assuming Tsukushima already knows Byakuya's way of fighting fron Zenbonsakura and he uses that knowledge to move accordingly or ensure a pre-emptive strike against Byakuya and that's what happened.
although, it's too vague if that is really a fatal wound.. knowing Byakuya, his pride cannot be wounded at all.

Man, after 3 days of upcountry in Thailand's Isarn province without any network or telephone land line, and a lot of ants and other insects as your room mates which was quite scary to cope with, I'm back in the Udon Thani City at a hotel with wireless internet.
Well, what did you expect? Byakuya should at least have some work to do with Tsukushima. At least the two leaders of X-cution should have the ability to fight back unlike the other sissies in this group.

i'd expect a little bit of resistance from Tsukushima as well. but i have to say, i'm surprise about the extent of his fullbring that even non-living objects can be affected.
it fits Byakuya though, this just make it more interesting to see. i bet, after this, we'll be seeing Ichigo's resolve against Kuugo.

Welcome back Maxi-Ryu99...your experience sounds a little scary though... well...part of me expected Byakuya to defeat Tsukishima in one blow because the man annoys me a bit...but oh well if the fight is good it will be worth it to see him in a few more chapters...

Haha, Byakuya is a risk taker. I mean, when I remember one of the fights with one of the espadas, he cut his nerves to prevent that Espada to use one of his special abilities. It was Espada number 6 as far as I remember who had a kinda pumpkin body and was kind of a black guy, if I remember correctly. Byakuya would risk anything to maintain his pride as a Kuchiki, and that might be Tsukushima's downfall, when the time is right. You guys all know how cold blooded Byakuya can be in order to do and risk everything to defeat his opponent without any regrets.
Well, the battle of the b$$$tches is still up, who's gonna be the queen of comedy in this one?
I think it'll take a while until we can enjoy the long awaited battle between Ginjou Kuugo and Ichigo Kurosaki, the two Substitute Shinigamis, and then we will hopefully see his revived Bankai and a reunion with Tensa Zangetsu.

@Maxi-Ryu99: exactly, i remember that fight where Byakuya even cut his own limbs that are controlled by the Espada. what nerve Byakuya has. it's stronger than steel. he did that for the sake of his own pride which even the Espada No. 6 was surprised.

Not a chance he would let his emotions go through with him unlike Ichigo, Kenpachi, Chado, Orihime and the other humans with "feeeeeelings, nothing more than feeeeeeelings" (<-remember that MC Hammer commercial). In other words he would be the perfect Jedi Master for Star Wars unlike Luke Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker who would let their "feelings" lead to the dark side. As I said, Byakuya is all business, and he'll find a way to stop this Fullbring "Book of the past" of Tsukushima by surpassing his anticipations with his Kuchiki Clan pride...

lol.. well do you remember his Senkei where the petals formed into a sword colored pink. imagine that is your lightsaber. seriously, his attitude is more than a jedi master. even Yoda will be silence by the pride in Byakuya's eyes and there you'll notice his unbreakable spirit.

ah, yes, Ishida's weapon back then looks more of a lightsaber. hey, Ishida also fits to be one of the jedi master.
anyways, as we all know that out of all the Captains in Gotei 13, Byakuya's Bankai is the most versatile from the one's we've seen already. i can only think of Benihime to be of the same level as Zenbonsakura.
okay, here's the most critical part.. WHAT IF Tsukushima then used his Book of Past to Zangetsu? can he make Zangetsu to fight Ichigo seriously? lol.. of course this is impossible since only Ichigo can collaborate and see Zangetsu..

I am not sure but I don't think the stats about Urahara were ever given...I think Benihime is probably the wild card of Soul Society...we only saw the shield Urahara created to protect himself from Getsuga Tenshou and saw the wave and bright of it's attack on the turn back the pendulum arc...probably Urahara's shikai..if we take in account that Mayuri's sword was tampered it is likely that Urahara's is also.. With the book of the past he can probably gain information about the attacks and defenses of the sword's owner but I don't think he could turn it against him...the sword is basically part of the shinigami's soul...

Okay, back in Bangkok, after visiting my girl friend in Udon Thani province.
The trip was cool, and I come along with fresh new ideas.
@elleztim: You mentioned a while ago that Tensa Zangetsu is maybe the most experienced Zanpaktou in Soul Society. May I slightly disagree with you and say that he is rather the most ferocious Zanpaktou with the hottest temper rather than wise, 'cause I guess he was something special because no one in Soul society including the Captain Commander was ever able to control such a ferocious being that may have been a creation by either Aizen or Urahara, I mean whoever is in charge of creating the bond between Zanpaktous.
Another thought that crossed my mind was that maybe, way back in the past, when Ginjou Kuugo was still a young rant like Ichigo, he kinda took or stole away the most critical component that would keep Tensa Zangetsu as a whole in order to create and fullfill ONE THING... THE FULLBRING.
In other words, it would make sense why Ichigo has suffered so much with Zangetsu ever since Rukia awakened his Shinigami powers from day one. No Shinigami in Soul Society nor an Arrancar could have controlled such a ferocious Zanpaktou like Zangetsu,... except a chosen human being, such as Ichigo. And that's a real fact here. And with the missing component to keep body and Soul at balance, maybe a small fraction of Fullbring remained in Ichigo's body all along which in other words was the "Final Getsuga Tenshou". And since he got it all back until now, we may see the Bankai resurrection.

@Maxi-Ryu99: yeah i did say something about Tensa being the most experienced but that is in terms of battle experience since Ichigo's Zanpakutou is simply the manifestation of Ichigo's persona shaped with his own reiatsu and thus have Ichigo's experience in fighting as a human. you do remember Ichigo is a brawler and a war-freak and the instinct of Ichigo to fight was not passed down to Zangetsu but rather to his hollow side. Zangetsu received Ichigo's battle experience while the hollow got his instinct.
i also said that according to what we have seen, currently Byakuya is the one that is having the most versatile Bankai. it means, he has developed 3 more techniques with his Bankai compared to the other shinigami that have already shown their Bankai.
Tensa Zangetsu/Zangetsu is Ichigo's manifested reiatsu. it is affected by how much growth or variation in Ichigo's power. even at the time of the (non-canon) Zanpakutou rebellion, Zangetsu remains attached to Ichigo. the only possible way is to manipulate Ichigo if Aizen or even Urahara wants to have that power, otherwise there's no other way to interfere between their bonds.
even the 3rd being, the hollow is also shown to be part of Ichigo and Zangetsu.. that is also why the final getsuga is possible, because as you remember Unohana mentioned that Ichigo's cloth is his reiatsu as well. that is also the concept of the final getsuga, Tensa and the hollow combined themselves and covered Ichigo with his entire reiatsu.
thus, as a complication, a full burst in the form of Mugetsu means flashing out entirely all of his power.

I agree. I also think that Byakuya might not be the only one with a more versatile bankai with more techniques...we must not forget that Byakuya is still one of the younger captains...if he has three or more techniques...how many will for example, Shunsui have?

@Muraki3777: i second you on that notion that Shunsui might have also a versatile Zanpakutou. but speaking of experienced Shinigami, there are only four of them starting from Yama-gi, Unohana, Ukitake and Kyourako.
the thing is, you pointed out Shunsui which also came from a noble family like Byakuya.

In the latest edition of Naruto, during a clash of the prides, a weak spot of Byakuya's Zenbon Sakura has been indicated by Tsukushima, the so called area in which the sword can't cut; and the obvious mistakes that opponents make to get away as far as possible when in reality you gotta close in to hurt the wielder of Zenbon Sakura.
Despite Tsukushima's rambles, Byakuya stays calm and is moving in for the clash...
In the mean time the battle of the cuties has finally started and Riruka demonstrated a sample of her real power turning Rukia into a cute dog rabbit.

fullbringers are really wielders of crazy powers. Rukia becomes the very cuteness she herself loves.. that's the twist..
but no quite like his brother. Kubo made it more sensible for Byakuya to prove his pride. it won't matter if he slash down Tsukushima at the first move. it won't be victory. i guess to defeat Tsukushima's fullbring is the only way to show the real pride of Byakuya..

I think Byakuya is for the first time grateful that he learned from Yoruichi...Tsukishima was very smart and I agree with you @Elleztim...it's going to be a fight of pride now...I think it's going to be good!

@Muraki3777: you know how it is for the rest of the guys, Inoue and Chad seemed to support and protect Tsukushima after being hit by the Book of Past. Unlike them, Byakuya still proceeds on fighting Tsukushima. so, there's a point where Tsukushima inserted himself in Byakuya's memory as a close friend.
now, Byakuya hasn't shown any sign of distraught.. this is his pride and Tsukushima will learn it the hard way.

I think the difference is when he draws blood and when he doesn't...in both he slips himself in the past of the person but when he draws blood it probably doesn't work the same way...

that's where i'm really confused. or is it because even though Tsukushima have inserted himself in Byakuya's past as a very close friend, Byakuya was still resolved and identify Tsukushima as his enemy?
it was quite clear that after slashing Byakuya, Tsukushima indeed used the Book of Past and that's how he learned about NDR. though, the behaviour of Byakuya was giving another perspective. i know i've seen how fearsome Byakuya's pride is but this is beyond anything he had displayed before.
