You're right! f
or a proud people like the Quincy it's a terrible blow too!
Despite everything else I admire their ability to fight...they don't seem to be born with a great amount of power and whatever power they do have is gained by an intense training and discipline...
Well,... as long as the other Shinigami, didn't figure out how the trick works, from their point of perspective, why should they care.
It was just bad luck that IVAN DRAGO and Kirge Opie encountered Kurosaki Ichigo, an undefined, unpredictable, and most important of all, UNREAL Human Shinigami species. If my two assumptions from a few months ago are right, here again:
Tensa Zangetsu, is the most terrifying and unpredcable Zanpaktou with possible orgin traces of Vandenreich itself
The Fullbring component was practically a partying gift, which enables Ichigo to use his Shinigami powers in pure Human form
Based on bullet point No.2, I guess, that as simplified as I am about to say again: The Vandenreich's Bankai sealing techniques may not work on "Complete Human-life-from with Fullbring" Shinigami", only on the purely Spiritual life forms like Byakuya, Rukia and Co...
Based on that, I'm waiting for Zaraki Kenpachi to enter the frey!!!!
I am also anxious to see Zaraki fighting. I think he certainly has an advantage since he doesn't have a bankai but he is still vulnerable to their ability of absorbing reiatsu...it will be interesting to see if they can absorb such great amounts of reiatsu or not and how Zaraki will fight with them!
as Urahara mentioned, atleast fighting the Vandenreich mentally by weakening their spirits first would help stun them to deal a critical blow. Zaraki still have that element and his own stand of not relying on shikai and bankai will be the key in this war.
This is probably why up to now, we still haven't seen him fight since Kubo might be reserving him for the last as a means of Soul Society's counterattach/way out of this mess.
But even the most cunning and smartest Shinigami of them all like Byakuya haven't figured out the trick and quiver in fear. And that speaks at least 10 novels, as a German saying would imply...
So why should the Vandenreich worry now? ... Mentally weaken??? I think Byakuya, Renji, Toushiro and co. are the ones who are terrified now, and it seems to be too late for them to regain their Shinigami pride compsure, as the Star knights are about to provide the finishing touch...
So is Kirge Opie finished off by Urahara or what? Opie seems desperate, as he cannot shake Ichigo's resolve and his Bankai...
I think it's safe to say Opie is finished...Urahara has a talent to find the weakest spot/weakest moment of an enemy to strike...
I also don't see why the Vandenreich should lose their determination and calm at this point...they clearly have the upper hand...
that's the difference between Urahara and the other shinigami, even to the likes of Byakuya. you can really say that Urahara has some loose nuts since he is the only one who can joke, fool around and yet cause a catastrophic blow to every enemy he encounters. be it Aizen or any Vandenreich.
Like you mentioned before, for all we know, Urahara is the most dangerous enemy for Ichigo and as the saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemy closer..
Regarding poor Kirgie, he'd be wishing he's dead if he is going to face Urahara. anyone would simply blow out their mind trying to face and comprehend Urahara at the same time.
Urahara san is on the move. nice of him to point out the blut and the metallic plate that steals bankai. however, as he expressed his mistake, Ichigo got entangled with some cage of some sort. i doubt it'll stop him permanently, knowing Ichigo and his monstrous reiatsu.
I guess Soul Society can't help but truly rely on Ichigo when it comes to struggle. now, let's wait and see how Urahara will handle Kirgie. for once, i wanted to see his bankai after all..
Just to make it short and simple in terms of technical issues,.. According to Urahara's careful information, the Vandenreich possess a Power named "Blood" which they can use on the offense or on defense, but none of them at the same time. As for sealing Bankais, .... guess what even Urahara hasn't had the answer to WHY ONLY ICHIGO's Tensa Zangetsu cannot get sealed unlike the other Shinigami Captains...
Is that enough for an explanation? Easy-peasy????
Okay. ... on the way to Soul Society, Ichigo got entrapped into Kirge Opie's Quincy cage, as he used his last power reserves to try to hinder Ichigo to get to Soul Society to join the battle...
... Well I mean @elleztim: You can tell me what you want, but something tells me that this cage is something special, something serious, as Urahara let his and Ichigo's guard down for too long....
meaning they cannot use their fullest power simultaneously in offense and defense which makes them vulnerable at some point especially when they become careless of the situation as with Urahara's intervention.
it's not that i underestimate Kirgie's cage but Ichigo's power is different. Urahara will soon learn how Ichigo's bankai wasn't affected by the metallic trap of the Vandenreich. i bet will see some light as to what Ichigo's power really is.
I agree...The information Urahara got from Kirge will take the advantage they have toward the shinigami...it will help the captains, even those without bankais, to fight them.
I am surprised that Kirge survived Urahara's attack...if he indeed used his last power to create this cage...then Ichigo will have some problems!
the thing is Kirgie might have recovered by simply absorbing reishi from his surroundings. i'm surprised that Urahara forgot to realize that. when he said that he had mortally wounded Kirgie, he should have finished him off at the same time without giving Kirgie the chance to absorb reishi..
though, the revelation about the failure to steal Ichigo's bankai would give Soul Society a means to defend and gain victory against the Vandenreich.
I also find it strange that he would make such a rookie mistake in such an important moment specially since he kept his cool while talking with Akon...
it must have mean that even Urahara lacks the knowledge about the Quincy's which is odd since he knows very well Isshin whom is close to Ryuuken. there's the doubt if Urahara is already acquainted with Ryuuken.
despite all of this, since Urahara believe that Ichigo is vital in rescuing Soul Society, he has to completely defeat Kirgie as the first option in neutralizing that cage.. that is, without Bankai which would be no problem with Urahara since he fought Aizen recently without using it.
Well at least the Vandenreich leader won't go down that easily. Or otherwise he wouldn't be the almighty chief. He has resemblance of Tensa Zangetsu for a reason, so I guess even with Ichigo entering the Soul Society fray, the Shinigami would still be shaken by resolve, especially when the Vandenreich leader knows something about Ichigo, Tensa Zangetsu and their correlative bloodlines
Is it just me or does that Kirge Opie look super scary like some Hitler on steroids. Especially after the Sklaverei thing. I'm probably going to get nightmares now. I don't like the fact that only Ichigo can have any hope of fighting against these Vandenreich people. It means that everyone else is pretty much useless and pathetic (of course apart from Kenpachi but then again, I doubt his sword can cut them). Also, I think it's just sad that once again, orihime is useless as none of her techniques can stand up to them. It would just be typical if the soul society suddenly come up with some new and impressive weapon and manage to save the day like they always do but that is the only way out unless they all die or there is some teary and emotional twist where someone evil turns out to be actually good and then accepts his punishment and everyone goes home happily ever after (I doubt this would happen).
Oooohhhh, whhhaaaaaat?????? WTF is this chapter so early today, right after I finished my public speaking course in Capitol Toastmasters Bangkok fraction:
Oooohhh, is that a good day, since I performed well with the anxious will of typical Ichigo Kursaki spirit. In the latest edition of Bleach, Ichigo Kurosaki desperately tries to get out of that "****hole" that Kirge Opie has created to prevent Ichigo from entering Soul Society where there is chaos-laos all over the place. Unable to contact Akon, Renji, Rukia or anybody, Ichigo uses all the force he has to try to break free from that "****hole",... a seemingly triumphant Kirge Opie proudly declared his ironic victory when all of a sudden, he was .... cut in nasty halves,...
... the next thing we see is,... that a sharp Zanpaktou sword is lightning fast directed at Urahara who seems to be scared, as if he sees an old enemy????? Who could it be? The REAL rejuvenated "IN FLESH AND BLOOD TENSA ZANGETSU????" <- I mean spontaneously that's the only one I can think of right now, ...
.... we'll find out next week...
@elleztim: Thank you for the "accidental spoiler that I read, and thank you for keeping it short so I could write that short summary like usual... Anyhow, everyone tell me what you think? Who could be that guy or girl ( Karin?? Masaki???)
lol.. i wonder how your speech looks like.. i hope you didn't end it with the word "bankai"? anyway, likewise, i'm deeply surprised how early we got this chapter and as if that's not enough, we got an even bigger surprise as who was that person who came.. my guess is.. ISSHIN.. but i also think that is maybe Karin since i can't throw away her look of determination when she went to meet Urahara..
and if that was really Karin, where and how did she hide that much power.. this is getting a lot more interesting than we thought..
if that was Grimmjow, which would make a bigger sense, then i'll be anticipating the next chapter more and more. lol.. i surely can't imagine Grimmjow coming back stronger than ever and then helping Ichigo save Soul Society.. hey wait, do you mean that Grimmjow hasn't reached vasto lorde when he became an Espada of Aizen?
@Maxi-Ryu99: any new character is welcome to me but looking at Urahara's face, he usually don't get that much surprises or frightened but the guy standing in front of him made him so..
Well, that's also a good possibility, given the fact that you made a research a few months ago and found out those facts from whatever reliable source. And remembering some things of it... it could also be the NEW main character, that Kuubo talked about. That's my alternative guess.
Yes!! You might be right!
If it is a new character we might finally discover Urahara's, Isshin's, Ryuuken's and Ichigo's mother common past because whoever it is Urahara seems to have recognized him!
Or maybe her, haha,... why can't girls also have fun??? Karin????
But, another option:
I think also about someone else, that maybe Kaien, the real one, who in exceptional circumstances survived the Hollowfication and became a Vaste Lordo instead of a Shinigami, who went into hiding from Aizen and remained undiscovered, until Ichigo regained his full Shinigami powers with "Fullbring" component,... and decided to make an appearance now... to tell Ichigo a terrible truth, .... about Soul Society, Urahara, Isshin, his mom and who the REAL enemy is...
someone from Zero squad maybe? if it is a shinigami, why would he be on Hueco Mundo. probably that was an Espada who have reached another higher level. i mean, Kirgie's not that invincible anyways. there's also the possibility that Tensa Zangetsu have managed to separate himself from Ichigo become another person.. lol..
Kaien survived death once before so it's also a very good theory! If Isshin is really part of the Shiba family he would knew all the secrets...but I agree that it could also be Tensa!
that was my first thought anyway. A rejuvenated Tensa Zangetsu in flesh and blood. And he is even more likely to tell Ichigo about the truth, his real origins. Maybe the Vandenreich leader is his older brother.
the only hint that we have here is Urahara-san's deem expression after seeing the person in front of him. well, the fact that there are only few people who can give that kind of look to Urahara-san and they are always cut above the best of the best.
For Urahara, who seems to be one of the few people to know everything and every dangerous person, this one in front of him gave him the shock of his life.. now, who could that be..
A part of me is wishing that it's Aizen...that he somehow got out of his prison and appeared to fight the Quincy. It would explain the look on Urahara's face!
it fits nicely.. seeing that Soul Society is in chaos.. or maybe Aizen was never caught in the first place and he activated his bankai before Ichigo unleashes his final getsuga making him also under Kyouga Suigetsu terrifying hypnosis.. this is more likable than ever and of course, Urahara would make such expression seeing how he was outsmarted again by Aizen.. that is, if this is truly Aizen in front of him.
to be frankly i have no idea about author's idea i mean i really got confuse before the fighting star the ending must turn to one way ichigo's victory that‘s kind of i can accept but ichigo's powerful made this manga really boring
now the tv show had stop airing i think that's kind of fail in any way or any meaning:(
@zksac: that's true. i noticed that a long time ago. Ichigo is ridiculously overpowered and yet underrated at the same time. with a blink of an eye, in his crucial fight, his power fluctuates infinitely high. this fact is all over the series. it's like Ichigo is a "Pandora's Box" just waiting to be opened.
noticeably, he did train before Aizen's fight while learning the final getsuga. But it was like 2 chapters and the only scene we got to see is his conversation with Hollow Tensa.
all in all, this is probably Kubo's intention to deviate from being stereotype with the likes of DBZ and Yu Yu where the lead character would always train hard to get strong and to win against powerful villains. it's the reversed, Kubo must have formulated Ichigo as a very powerful being from the start which as the series moves on, he realizes his power with each and every enemy he fights.
@Muraki3777. Well I must say ... I am absolutely shocked by your keen observation. That brings a whole new light to the current situation. It would make a lot of sense, that Ichigo's first ever arch enemy would be alive again. Aizen in full power would be an unexpected turn of events, considering the fact that of course he wants revenge or maybe even have an alliance with the Vandenreich warriors, maybe even right from the start.
Just imagine that the Arrancar and Espada were just used to buy time for the Vandenreich clan to prepare Soul Society for the real battle and doom.
That would mean Ichigo would never make it to Soul Society...
@Elleztim: I think that the key to Ichigo's pandora box is his heart...his emotions affect how well he fights...how well he deals with his out of this world power. Since you mentioned DBZ...Ichigo reminds me a lot of Gohan in that point...both are ruled by their hearts and feelings...Gohan could be the most powerful saiyan of all times and yet his heart lacks that determination and Gohan is less than he could be...Ichigo's emotions waver but in the end he always moves foward.
@Maxi-Ryu99: I am hoping that killing Kirge destroyed the cage Ichigo is trapped in...however...can you imagine what it would to to Ichigo to arrive too late to save Soul Society and how that would change him?
So this mysterious sword is slightly untraceable, I think it's probably from a shinigami cuz Arrancars favor their raw powers more than using a sword due to their instinct of brutal killings, a lot of people bet on Grimmjow and this is a plausible option judging from the remnant of survivors from the last battle, but if you read those chapters involving Grimm fighting Ichigo and killing Luppi, you will see the differences; and Urahara isn't familiar with the reiatsu since Grimm once had a fight with Ichigo back in Karakurajou, and he should've smelled that.
Or it's gonna be someone with his first appearance, who knows...
