Well, I don't even know whether Mayuri is really gonna be able to fix Ichigo's Bankai, because, first of all it's not an ordinary,... we talk about (the former) Tensa Zangetsu here, who must have had a wild and ferocious background with Yama-gi and Soul Society.

Mayuri wouldn't call Ichigo, if he hadn't found out something special about his Bankai,... in other words he might tell him, "Sorry, Ichigo, but I cannot fix your Bankai, because it's just BROKE!!!!"

That raises my next questions:

  1. who is now that mysterious person that scared the hell out of Urahara? Could it be Isshin, Grimjow or even Tsukishima (according to some Bleach forum rumors); would Tsukishima reveal his true identity after Kuugo passed away, or something?

  2. Who's Tensa Zangetsu? Where is he now, was he resurrected, or did he become Flesh and Blood again, after Ichigo released the Final Getsuga Tenshou?

  3. Is Tensa Zangetsu actually a Vandenreich warrior, too or even the bloodline brother of Juha Bach? I mean, Tensa somehow resembles the looks of a Vandenreich warrior, especially when his Hybrid Hollow alter ego half merged with him....

IMO Tensa DOES resemble Vandenreich warrior more than an ordinary Shinigami, because of his White clothings, didn't you notice this guys????

I wouldn't be surprised that Juha is in fact related to Ichigo but he might not be a parent but an uncle from his mother side...I also believe that Tensa's looks do scream of Ichigo's quincy heritage...his resemblance to Juha is undeniable and Tensa did seem more inclined to talk about Ichigo's mother than Isshin...

i don't think we'll find out soon who that person is which gave that surprise look on Urahara since it's like waiting forever for Kubo to disclose his identity to us but to no avail.

that reminds me, unlike any other Zanpakutou, Tensa appears to care a lot about Ichigo. it's like Masaki's will to keep Ichigo safe has been passed down to Zangetsu. anyways, his identity will be yet to be revealed and how Isshin's Engetsu is so similar to his.

this really is an entangle fate.

In the latest edition of Bleach:

The mystery of Tensa Zangetsu won't just be resolved, and all we know through Mayuri's explanations are that broken bankai's can never be fixed again, so in other words, the connection between Ichigo and Tensa Zangetsu could as well been lost, unless of course there are exceptions...

Other than that Ichigo is taken into a place in which the all-mighty Zerosquad is about to appear from the Skies of Seiretei.... a few funny faces, and they are supposed to be more powerful than Yama-Gi and the 13's Shinigami Squad?

yeah.. they also said before that Ichigo will not be able to become a shinigami again but look at where we are right now. since Kubo's defying his onw shinigami physics then i'm not buying that bankai broken logic.

on the other hand, i do expect a lot from the zero squad but their looks tells otherwise. since they were all thats left then i guess soul society don't have much of a choice.

besides all the stated summary.. anyone noticed why Ichigo remains on his bankai form. usually after the battle and where he's on healing account, he would always be on his normal shinigami form. looks like he ia stuck with his bankai. does it have something to do with the broken tensa zangetsu?

You know, I don't really feel in the mood to talk man, I just wanted to notify, that I'm quite curious about the Zero-squad and whether their funny faces in fact cover up their true strength, than what our first impressions give them credit for.

In other words, our questions about Tensa Zangetsu and the mysterious person will remain unanswered in the shadows for a longer time for now, because Tite Kubo said so.

Let's wait and see what they will be telling Ichigo, and whether they knew or even would tell Ichigo about Isshin's past. I mean, they don't come all the way down to Seireitei without any particular reason. If those peeps are the connection to Ichigo's bloodline and Isshin, and if they know Juha Bach or even Tensa Zangetsu in and out, that would really mean something for the future...

Anyway, I'm flat out tired and I'm gonna sleep now.... good night...

I would have liked a bit more development in the story...I also think this logic around Ichigo's broken bankai is a bit forced...after all until now all the swords have been restored for all intents and purposes and now it seems they haven't...and the entrance of the Zero Squad would have been better in a moment where they would be needed...

It's b/c the anime catches up with the manga too fast. Especially for bleach b/c Kubo's manga involve more drawings and less story. Try reading one chapter from One Piece and than read Bleach, A chapter of One Piece covers a lot more info than a chapter of Bleach. It takes roughly 2-3 chapters of One Piece to make an episode while 4-5 chapters from bleach to make one episode. I blame Kubo for the anime to cancel since there is only so much fillers the produces of the anime can come up with and they kinda suck too. Kubo probably does it on purpose so he can lengthen the run of Bleach as much as possible and make more money, i would assume after being in this business for this long he would know how to make each chapter worth while like the master Eiichiro Oda (One Piece). Bleach will probably start again after a year or two or maybe right after the manga ends.

Man, got that off my chest. Wanted to say this for so long! Just wondering does anybody agree with me on this or not, just curious?

Avatar for elleztim

@shinangels: yeah, i agree with you. i find it obvious in almost every bleach chapter where there were so many pages but no speech/dialogues, just drawings. Kubo's more of an artist rather than a writer. not that i think that Bleach is bad but the exact opposite actually. i think Bleach's having more drawings than stories makes it more appealing but as you've said, that would hurt the anime translation.

So far, it's better than having fillers anyway. like how they mashed up Naruto anime series with a lot of non-sense fillers to keep that gap between anime and manga. however, that wasn't the trend in Bleach which i've respected though felt hard to give away the anime.

"I'm never gonna say I'm sorry, I'm a clown for everyone. I'm never gonna let you down, I am always here like a sun...."

That's my tag line for the latest chapter of Bleach.

The Zero Squad has entered the fray all the way to Seireitei, and what a typical comedic entry!!!! Their motives were to help restore Sereitei and Gotei 13, but also to take their most precious warriors Kuchiki Byakuya, Abarai Renji, Kuchiki Rukia, and Ichigo's broken blade Tensa Zangetsu, into their palace. And Ichigo is coming with them as well, which was really obvious. As I assumed the Zero Squad MUST know something about Ichigo and Tensa Zangetsu, since one of the head women, the sexy and charming Origami-Sama was mentioning the name "Tensa Zangetsu" when she referred to Ichigo's broken Zanpaktou.

And at the end of the chapter the mysterious person who scared the hell out of Urahara, was almost mentioned....

But we gotta wait until the next chapter...

My quick bet: It must be an ally of the Zero Squad…

Ichigo's bunch and Kuchiki's having special treatment especially Zangetsu.. this feels odd. though, the Zero Squad looks like a bunch of idiots, we can't truly ignore how terrifying they are. this is a really different matter at all. and they say that they are the protectors of the King of Soul Society.

what's surprising is they were all referring to Zangetsu as a person, rather than Ichigo's zanpakutou. do they know its secret. speaking of which, that "person" must been acquainted to Zero Squad which makes me think it must be really Isshin. i don't know if it counts but there's one person in Bleach goofing off which might be a candidate as well.

Well on the other hand, one person that's missing on the Zero Squad's list is Zaraki Kenpachi. It seems like he has to stay behind in Soul Society. The Zero squad must think highly of Byakuya, Renji and Rukia.

If Tensa Zangetsu were really once a human life form, that would mean something.

Maybe the mysterious person is someone we don't know yet, a new Substitute Shinigami, the new main character that Kubo was talking about, and that refers to the issue that our friend @Muraki3777 was referring to in the past.

The Zero squad MUST know something about Ichigo, I mean, they wouldn't bring him to their palace for nothing, without any motive. Is the Zero Squad familiar with Juha Bach, and did they as well observe Ichigo's development from the far reaches of the galaxy? Will the Zero Squad be Ichigo's new masters to develop the new Ultimate Getsuga Tenshou???

well, let's just say that Zero squad picked their own special war potentials and the bunch just had what it takes or maybe they will replace some of the captains. those three have since worked around Ichigo's goal and they Soul King might have high regards on them. why else would they receive special treatment. i do wonder now on how Byakuya would regain his power without his Zanpakutou. would he be able to make one. if so, this might have explanation on Ichigo's bankai.

isn't the Substitute Shinigami is none other than Kuugo right. so this must be some other character with the wits and knowledge of Urahara since he was able to contact them and knew of the actions of the Zero Squad.

lastly, it's either the Zero Squad that had info on Ichigo or the Soul King itself who knew everything about our lead character. either way, this must open up a new light to the darkness that Kubo had mantled his entire series.

I'm not surprised with their choices...except Rukia...Ichigo and Byakuya are in the same boat regarding their bankais...Byakuya is even worse actually because not only is he hurt; had his sword broken while in bankai, but it also got stolen by the Quincy...and despite the death of that particular quincy it doesn't mean it returned to him... We know Renji's bankai is weak...but it does have a lot of potential so it makes sense...and he too had his bankai broken...

but why Rukia? Could she too have a bankai with potential?

I am very curious about Unohana...all that talk that took place in this chapter left me with the impression that she is much more than meets the eye!

I wish the Zero Squad would have taken Zaraki Kenpachi with them as well, but they must have had a reason not to do so, since Kenpachi's passion for violence is too well known…

I wonder how Kenpachi would feel once he regains consciousness, will he be more motivated thanever?

Avatar for elleztim

@Muraki3777: it might be possible because of the Hougyoku that was once stored inside of her plus her battle experiences with Ichigo. she probably doesn't realized it yet that her bankai grew stronger than ever. Anyways, i wanted to know what will change with Byakuya since you hinted in the rumor before that there will be a drastic change in Byakuya's character.

as for Kenpachi.. that guy does not need medical attention. never ever.. and for Ms. Unohana. she did receive instructions not to be involved in the battle.

choosing Kenpachi wouldn't exactly make sense since he can't even speak with his sword and Kubo already said he won't be able to achieve bankai... Kubo did say Byakuya would change but other than that I don't think he gave any kind of hints of what will happen...it will be interesting to see since the three men seemed to be at the same level for the first time and no doubt their personalities will clash many times...Byakuya isn't used to being weak...

Anyhow I hope that Zaraki Kenpachi will come back stronger and more fearful than ever after that humiliating defeat against the Juha Bach (<-CLONE??????), which was quite a shock to me, that he couldn't lay a finger on him. I think such a defeat hurt big time to our proud Shinigami warrior who dislikes "boring battles" like the one against Giriko.

I hope that wasn't the last that we've witnessed about Zaraki Kenpachi....

In the end of the day, I told everyone of you, Byakuya wouldn't just die in the series, yet, even though some afterwords picks of those online manga would actually put Byakuya on the same page with Ulqiorra Schiffer.

The Zero squad, as Goofy as they are, they definitely must be really powerful if they were talking down on Gotei division 13 and blaming them for disgracing Seireitei, by not protecting on their own without the Zero Squad's help...

I'm looking forward for more

Kenpachi's title won't be tarnished so easily like that. let me tell you my friends and i assured you that he'll be back with a vengeance. though, he Zaraki won't be able to take that on the original Juha but surely, the right hand man of Juha will be fitting enough.

according to the hinted rumor by our friend @Muraki3777: that Byakuya will undergo a major character change. being defeated to nearly his death, having his bankai stolen means i think this paved the way for the reinvention of his character since apart from Ichigo, Byakuya's almost iconic as the main character.

the only thing i can comment to the Zero Squad is that the weirder they come, the tougher fight.. i hope they lived up to their barks..

Lets wait and see whether Isshin or Juha Bach are actually Ichigo's biological father. Who of the two is it gonna be? Or is Masaki Kurosaki Ichigo's real mother?

Our friend @shinangels thinks so, because of Masaki's equally orange hair color, which in the mean time I would slightly agree to.

If we put @shinangels thoughts from above in perspective to Juha Bach, we can assume that Masaki could have truly been a former Vandenreich warrior, and possibly an ex-wife of Juha Bach, since Juha Bach called Ichigo "SON" a few chapters ago.

Now if we put it into more perspective with the Zero squad and their intentions to invite Ichigo into their royal palace, I think they obviously know something about Ichigo's bloodline connection between Vandenreich and Soul Society. Like I said before, they wouldn't bring Ichigo along for nothing. The "goofy" Zero Squad are obviously ancient for generations even before Yama-Gi's rise of powers, …

So it's fair to say that both Juha Bach and the Zero Squad have been watching Ichigo's progress from the beginning to the end from the far reaches if the galaxy, and know everything about him.

Based on Juha Bach's words of calling Ichigo "SON", I thought that he really intended to "protect Ichigo from a terrible truth" which would affect his emotional well being for the rest of his life…

Do you guys think that the Spirit King might have a connection to Ichigo (thus Isshin) or perhaps Tensa Zangetsu. I also get the feeling that Juha-bach has a deep history with the Spirit King. Also when the blood war between shinigami and quincy happened a thousand years ago (when Yamamoto didn't finish Juha-bach off) why didn't the Spirit King order him or somebody else to kill him (unless the Spirit King thought he did die by Yamamoto's hand) since he is probably the greatest threat to the shinigami and the Spirit King himself.

On a side note, i wonder what happened to the hogyoku. Was it sealed with Aizen (i don't think so)? I doubt it was destroyed, b/c Urahara would have done that from the very beginning when he first created it if he could have. Although this is a manga so who knows if he found a way now to destroy it/seal it or whatever.

for giving orders to the Zero Squad to bring Ichigo, i think there's more to that than just asking. there's a definite interest from the Spirit King in terms of Ichigo's existence as well as his zanpakutou. if there's a relation to Juha with the spirit king, i'll bet it crosses Aizen's goal and in terms does not become favorable in his perspective.

i was asking what happened to that Hougyoku after Urahara used a powerful kidou against Aizen. nothing was mentioned specifically about it but i doubt that it was destroyed. and, it's also not clear if there really is only one hougyoku. remember both Aizen and Urahara made each their own and the Vandenreich isn't limited to do something similar as well. would all these bloody war relates to the existence of such hougyoku before.

Well about Hogyouku and anything related to that, that's where my competencies are near to zero, I let you two discuss and dispute that matter quietly

Let me ask again, as it seemed overlooked kinda:

If we keep @shinagels points about Masaki's orange hair and a kind of an evidence that she's truly Ichigo's biological mom in perspective with Juha Bach and the Zero squad:

  1. I think that obviously Masaki could have been a true Vandenreich warrior or Espada, either of the two, and possibly Juha Bach's ex wife, now that he called Ichigo "SON". Juha Bach might really be Ichigo's biological father, and might have intended to "protect him from a terrible truth that would affect his mental well being for the rest of his life

At this point everything is possible...I don't think Juha is Ichigo's father...I'm not seeing kind hearted Masaki having anything to do with a man like Juha who doesn't even respect his fellow comrades...but it's not impossible either...the fact is that Ichigo compared to his sisters doesn't have many resemblances to Isshin...and knowing Isshin...it wouldn't be hard for him to love Ichigo even if he isn't hsi natural son.

whoever the King is I think it's safe to say he knows everything so without a doubt he knows everything about Ichigo...at this point I feel very uncertain about what Ichigo's role will be...there is the possibility that they want to lock him up thinking him a threat to Soul Society and the King since he is a Quincy....

I'm not sure about the Hougyoku but I think it's still inside Aizen...I think their bond was broken and it doesn't listen to Aizen's heart wishes anymore since his resolution faltered but it's still inside of him...both Hougyokus actually since he merged the two together...that's why he was sentenced to prison instead of death because they couldn't kill him while he has the Hougyoku in him...

honestly guys, with all the theories said here and there, i don't know what to say anymore. i feel like in the total black out here. Kubo really puts us in a brink..

to my perspective.. here goes my state of mind. Juha calls Ichigo his son born in darkness.. either it is symbolical or literally meant, i still think that Juha is closely related to Ichigo than Isshin. this puts me in conflict as to why Ichigo has the power of Zangetsu.

as for the Hougyoku.. there's only one left. to remind everyone, Aizen stole Urahara's Hougyoku and offered it to his own Hougyoku, thus resulting into one. it's current state is not verified but more likely Urahara have some strings going on around it.

And the mysterious person that scared the hell out of Kisuke Urahara is…

… STILL NOT BEEN REVEALED.

In order to pick up on slapstick again, Tite Kubo decided to give Urahara the chance to shine with a smile again, along with Chado and Orihime who expressed their relief that Ichigo has been fine after all that fiasco going on.

Ichigo decided to go to The royal palace along with the Zero Squad, who told him about another Syper Reiatsu Soyrce to reforge his Zanpaktou again almost similar to Tensa Zangetsu standards, in that palace Ichigo meets another well known couple ....

... AND...... DID I JUST DREAM IT???????

I COULD HAVE SWORN THAT I JUST SAW…

as expected, your second lightning strikes..

BTW.. when you said it's not been REVEALED.. i kinda have a feeling who this guy is. this mysterious person knows Ichigo just by hearing his voice. second they are in Hueco Mundo and Sado and Inoue seems to be able to peaceful interact with him.. i felt that this person is none other than Grimmjow.. i looked at the folded sleeve, it reminds me of Grimm's appearance.

yes yes,, i know you'll be excited to hear about the super Reiatsu.. makes me think i'm reading dragonball z at a time like thIS but anyway, i hope it mends the broken Zanpakutou. poor Zangetsu.

Oh yeah, Kuukaku mentioned about a acertain "Uncle" person being sad.. it makes me think of Isshin somehow and how Ichigo seemed to be alike Shiba.. these are the loose ends that are being presented now by some mercy from Kubo.

and the last but not the least..Kuugo, Tsukushima is training with Ganjuu.. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS

Avatar for Maxi-Ryu99

I also could have sworn that I saw Ginjou Kuugo, Tsukishima and even Giriko just now. What the hell is the meaning of that? How did Ginjou Kuugo get resurrected again, and how the holy hell did Giriko survive Zaraki Kenpachi's fierce full strike????

Who has resurrected Ginjou Kuugo??? "Tsukishima's Book of the end???"

Or could it be that Taukishima is the real Mastermind after all of X-Cution??

What in the world did we witness just now....

"What would be Ginjou Kuugo's ultimate motive upon being resurrected, by whomever? Revenge on Ichigo and his friends?"

I don't really remember who Shiba is, or however he was related to Isshin, but my first guess of Kuukaku, mentioning the word uncle, would IMO refer to JUHA BACH...

Any other thought, my friends?

I am stunned like both of you at the appearance of Tsukishima, Ginjou and Giriko...but I think the explanation for their presence might be very simple...the battle of the fullbringers was on Earth...a battle of humans with special powers against shinigamis...all three characters died...since they were human they most likely made the transition to Soul Society...the question that remains is...why didn't Yama-gi capture them as criminals because of their rebelion against Soul Society...and why did Kaien's sister...and perhaps Isshin's niece took them under her protection.

Now I have no doubt that Isshin was a member of the noble family of the Shibas and perhaps the cause of their demise from noblesse...and my god..I am speechless about the change in Ganjou! wow! he looks like Kenpachi!

and like you @Elleztim I too have a feeling that it's grimmjow the mysterious character! who else would Ichigo recognize by voice?

Avatar for elleztim

@Muraki3777: exactly as you said.. they Kuugo and Tsukushima were living humans who died after the battle against Ichigo. so their souls went to Soul Society, Rukongai specifically where Kukakuu picked them up and have them trained with Ganjuu.. possibly, to join Ichigo in the future battle.

Regarding that "uncle".. i think this is how it goes.. i'm assuming it was Isshin and when Kukakuu said that this uncle would be sad it means that when Ichigo goes to see the Spirit King, everything will be revealed including Ichigo's past.

this means that if what Juha Bach said was true, then Ichigo would then understand that Isshin isn't really his father..

and again, @Muraki3777: it really seems like Grimm right? i mean the way of his talking reminds me of him and plus, a personal grudge on Ichigo for loosing in their battle.. it's no surprise.
