Let's continue...

It is not always the amount of details that makes a good wallpaper. Sometimes, a simple yet unique idea (in this case to find a certain screenshot from an anime) can create a lovely wallpaper for Valentine's day. popiahime's "Pikachu's Valentine" is funny to look at (I totally love the bottle's design!), and it composes a sweet design for people's desktops. Even though I'm not a big fan of white backgrounds, this one fits really well to the composition and the rest of the colours.

The thing that I ask myself is, is Ichigo still prone in falling pray to his hybrid Hollow form, or was Fullbring the missing part which stabalizes Ichigo's human sanity in order to prevent another Hybrid Hollow outbreak...
I mean unless Fullbring really has a nasty after effect like automatically going all Hollow or Arrancar, I do not see Kuugo's guys stand a chance against a fully trained Shinigami squad and an Ichigo who has the full capacity of Body and Soul.
And by the looks nothing indicates that Ichigo could fall pray to his alter Ego.
I think after releasing his ultimate Fullbring Bankai we will see whether he can communicate with Ichigo again and thank him for reviving or even purifying him from his alter ego that Hybrid Hollow form...
1 year, 8 months ago
regarding that, and as i said before, when Ichigo used the Final Getsuga, Tensa and his inner hollow fused as one in the performance of mugetsu. after that, all of Ichigo's power (reiatsu and hollow) were disintegrated.
the question is when fullbring and the received reiatsu came into being, did that also fill the hollow part of Ichigo. if it were, then we'll get an explanation like it was essentially a part of Ichigo and cannot be removed.
1 year, 8 months ago
Hello Vampluva! Glad to meet you!
Yeah...I don't think Ichigo's hollow could disappear that easily...I think it might hibernate so to say for a while but eventually it will ressurface with a vengeance...the hollow did fuse with Tensa but I think only because his awake existence was in peril...
1 year, 8 months ago
@Muraki3777: lol.. that hollow ego of Ichigo sure had a vengeance. i think he's mad for being shutdown after the final getsuga. moreover, he'll be happy to learn that he now can also use the fullbring.
though,i believe that till the very end of Bleach, the finale would be between Ichigo and his hollow side. both of them combined with Tensa is plainly invincible so they are the light and darkness.
in the near future, i think we would also know how and why Ichigo had obtained such hollowness in his self which as i said didn't surprise or even bother Urahara before and he kept quiet till Ichigo learned of its existence.
1 year, 8 months ago
I don't remember well but I think Rukia implied somewhere that having a inner hollow sometimes happens to a shinigami...but I don't remember if it was in a filler arc...
1 year, 8 months ago
Well apart let's speculate what the motives of Kuugo were:
Like so many Individuals in Soul society before him (Aizen, Urahara, possibly Isshin), his discovery of a new source of power might have caused a critical dispute among Seiretei and the Soul Society, because if everyone would have accepted a Fullbring acquisition, everyone would be an ultimate Powerhouse like Ichigo by now. I think that Soul society was afraid of its after effects, Kuugo didn't care and he was either banned or he walked away from Soul society like Urahara did, when his Hogyoku was kinda revolutianizing the ways of Soul society.
Another question is, did Kuugo also have a connection with Aizen?
1 year, 8 months ago
that's logical, in my understanding, any form or type of power no matter how petite compared to the shinigami of soul society is considered a threat without exception to the motive. in addition, any unknown intelligence or knowledge that may lead to catastrophe is equally threatening.
Urahara's intellect though feasible for Soul Society have led to the creation of a more stable Hougyoku. Ichigo's heretic persona of a hollow and shinigamu hybrid, whether tolerated by few captains and people of Seiretei, still remains a threat to Soul Society.
Lastly, Kuugo's defiance and his eviction of his position as shinigami substitute and venturing such power we now know as fullbring is atleast not acceptable to the taste of soul society.
in short, power balance is not allowed by soul society. they want to keep it for their authority. moreover, civilian normal living person should not dwell or inhibit any kind of power.
about your question regarding Kuugo, i really can't tell. though, if we are talking about Tsukushima then i have to say there must be something. considering they look similar and the power of manipulation is also another common denominator for them.
1 year, 8 months ago
Kuugo and Aizen might have met since he was a substitute shinigami and we know Aizen always was on top of things either he was interested in using them or not...but I think it's only that...I don't think Tuskishima's power has something to do with him...
1 year, 8 months ago
Well now, since I don't have the nerves to write so much about the latest edition of the Bleach Manga, let me say this...
... After Gameboy Master teleported everybody into a different location,... Round one goes to Zaraki Kenpachi. As I have expected, the first X-cutioner was no match for him LOLOLOL
1 year, 8 months ago
as always, we cannot deny Zaraki's monstrous fighting ability and i'm not taking into account his reiastu yet. he is really very impatient to fight anyone stronger than him.
and our usual Ichigo charges in and takes everything for himself. he did underestimated his own power, specifically the one he gave away.
let's not forget Tsukushima didn't receive his share yet so it'll get more interesting by the next chapter.
1 year, 8 months ago
Well...like Maxi-Ryu99 said...Round one to Zaraki Kenpachi...but I am curious about what will happen between Tsukishima and Byakuya!
1 year, 8 months ago
it's gonna be odd seeing how naive Tsukushima is and Byakuya always full of pride.. i want to see the fight between Hitsugaya and that gameboy user..looks enchanting.
1 year, 8 months ago
yes i agree!i think there will be a great battle between these two cool man~
1 year, 8 months ago
Well, both of them are little men. Shorty vs. Shorty. Well of course it's Ichigo's nature to go full force without further thought and shoulder everything on himself, as if it is his Karma. I think we have to wait a little while until we can see the long awaited battle against his forerunner Substitute Shinigami.
I wonder who Rukia and Renji are up against?
1 year, 8 months ago
@Maxi-Ryu99: lol.. you sure described them precisely short huh.. anyways, i'm overwhelming curious about Toshirou's development. he was the most devastated after the Aizen battle since he wasn't able to protect his sister.
same as Renji, he's quite cool right now and we'll get to see if his bankai improved a lot.
1 year, 8 months ago
Well, everybody's Bankai must have improved by now.
I'm in with my speculations again:
Okay now, ... let's suppose that alternatively, IF Ichigo's mom was not an Espada or Arrancar, Then if we turn back time and consider again at how Aizen confronted Ichigo about all the incidents that lead him to become what he had become until that day, and that it was apparently all meant to happen and supposing he was really the one behind all that incidents, could it be that Aizen himself was the one who has implemented Arrancar Reiatsu onto Ichigo when he was still a baby, since he experimented with Hogyoku and Hollow Powers at an early stage already???
Maybe he fell in Love with Masaki Kurosaki and was just jealous that Isshin took her away from him, in other words, kidnapped him out of revenge, something like that.
But that would only make sense if that happened before Aizen experimented with Hirako Shinji and the becoming Vizard squad..., wait a minute. This would make perfect sense,... because, I think that at that time in which Aizen secretly experimented with Hollows and Arrancar powers, that special powers were very hard to control by that time, and suppose he implemented that RAW POWER in one Guinea pig which could have been Baby Ichigo, that would explain why Ichigo always struggled to get a hold of himself as soon as he was in a desperate situations. And Urahara or even Isshin could have done some ritual to seal and prevent the worst case scenario which would have been a complete transformation of Ichigo into a PURE ESPADA, and consequently for Isshin the loss of his Shinigami powers in order to save his son from complete Arrancar transformation,... something like that. In both cases, both experiments could have been a result of failure resulting into suffering of Baby Ichigo.
What do you guys think?
1 year, 8 months ago
seriously man, i liked how you theorized that Aizen was the one who implemented that arrancar/hollow reiatsu inside Ichigo and Urahara may have already known about this. Isshin on his part tried not to exposed himself to Ichigo and just let Urahara take care of things for him.
Aizen requires Hougyoku to achieve another level so he could slay the Soul King but what if he has another alternative--- *points out to Ichigo
1 year, 8 months ago
It does make a lot of sense...you might be right! Elleztim...who is Toshirou's sister?
1 year, 8 months ago
well, it's not by blood-relative sister but Toshirou grew up along Hinamori and since then, Toushiro was treated like her younger brother in Rukongai.
1 year, 8 months ago
Ok!...I thought it was Hinamori but I wasn't sure...thanks!
1 year, 8 months ago
the one and only. well like i said, they aren't related by blood but since they grew up together in rukongai, Hinamori treated him as her younger brother.
you could imagine how painful it was for Toshirou to fail to protect Hinamori against Aizen.
1 year, 8 months ago
When my assumptions are right, I think current and upcoming events of the Bleach Manga are just a road show, a showcase in order for all Shinigami to display how far they have developed their skills, their Bankais by now whilst obviously Kuugo's squad shouldn't be a match for all of them as Zaraki Kenpachi already demonstrated. The only thing left unsaid at this point is Ichigo's Bankai resurrection!!!!!
1 year, 8 months ago
Bankai resurrection.. i'd like to see more of that. it's just as you said, Kuugo and his gang are the stage to display the improved strength of the gotei 13. though, it only meant a more powerful breed of enemies are coming along the way so this will be another war.
so, i'd take it that there'll be more or less three level up for Ichigo's power and you can't possible imagine how powerful he'd become in a sooner future..
1 year, 8 months ago
I do want to see Ichigo's bankai resurrection but I don't think it will be that easy...besides the filler arcs...when was Bleach that easy? Since the beginning there's always something running in the background that we discover when we least expect...there must be more than what we see right now...
1 year, 8 months ago
yeah, it was never easy. they are always forced to pass through needle hole. every encounter is always a life threatening to them. i do wonder if we'll get to see Bankai.
still, there's something missing.. why haven't Zangetsu didn't show himself right away after Ichigo received reiatsu. shouldn't he be the one explaining things to Ichigo.
1 year, 8 months ago
Yeah...the way things are progressing is a bit strange... I just had one of my crazy ideas...do you remember that moment when Ichigo woke up from a dream after hearing the voices of Rukia, Renji and others? I just had the crazy idea that maybe Ichigo is still in a dream world thinking he is awake...like I said...crazy idea...
1 year, 8 months ago
anything could really happen here. you can even say that right now, Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu is under control. for all we know, everything is an illusion. Ichigo may have already been stabbed by Tsukushima.
like i said, it is fishy that Old-man Zangetsu isn't there to even say a word to Ichigo.. somethings off right now.
1 year, 8 months ago
its getting kinda interesting... I think that ichigo is going to either fail or go pro.
ps. I felt trolled during this arc, like most arcs.
Nevertheless next chapter kgo.
1 year, 8 months ago
The filler arcs are never good unfortunately...
1 year, 8 months ago
In anyways, can you guys stop leaving one line comments only,... thank you, otherwise it looks like a spam.
Bottom line is that the Fullbring powers have just evolved in Ichigo's body and soul. And it is yet to be determined whether this power really helps him to hold his Human physical and mental powers intact together with his spiritual Shinigami Reiatsu Soul, so in other words, whether it enables him to use Ultimate Getsuga Tenshou at will now (Mugen Mugetsu where as "MUGEN" means unlimited), since he has that components, that Fullbring which seemed to be necessary in order to relieve the physical burden for that ultimate attack,.... or whether Fullbring has negative side effects which would again lead to imbalance with his Hybrid Hollow powers.
But it seems like to me that the second possibility doesn'y occur yet, or let's say doesn't indicate a threat of Ichigo going Hollow berserk again.
Or unless Kuugo has another ace under his sleeves, we gotta wait and see and get ready for surprises...
@elleztim: and I think that Tensa Zangetsu will make his appearance as soon as Ichigo unleashes his new Bankai...
1 year, 8 months ago
@Maxi-Ryu99: let's expand here since we are talking something very important now. i'm keep on stating about the absence of Zangetsu while you have put out your thoughts on the possibility of a surprise berserk mode due to the revival of his hollow power.
haven't you notice we are talking about the same thing, Zangetsu said that the hollow is also Ichigo and also himself. it's Ichigo's persona.just as they are still beneath the hood means something big is coming up. the extent of this so called fullbring, sure we will be enlightened once either the hollow or mr. zangetsu shows up.
sneak-peak: looks like Byakuya's happy to face Tsukushima.. and Rukia's playing on a toyland. gameboy did make a part of his delights in stage.
1 year, 8 months ago
@elleztim: about the sneak peak,... are you serious about this is actually about to happen?
Yes, in the past, Hybrid Hollow and Tensa Zangetsu were actually one being, as we have all witnessed, but who knows, maybe that Fullbring ability is also a key to keep his Hollow powers from going all berserk, and actually,... you JUST made me think about another Anime character from another famous series who had a 'similar problem', and that character is... guess who... NARUTO.
You know when Naruto entered the fray in his inner spiritual conscience, and to make it crisp and clear: Upon with his last help of his late mother he has finally started to take control over his evil Kyuubi who could easily overpower his human sanity every time when he is in a desperate situation and gain a tremendous Six path Kage Kyuubi power.
Now back to Bleach, if we think about Ichigo and his acquired Fullbring, it COULD be a similar thing. Ichigo acquired a power which, as we mentioned earlier so often, could have the ability to keep BODY and SOUL all together in order to perform ultimate Reiatsu attacks that require mental as well as physical spiritual strength and stamina, BUT maybe also to keep his evil Hybrid Hollow at bay from bursting out into berserk mode, similar to, as I mentioned above, Naruto now is able to control his fears, furies and the Kyuubi from going berserk and taking over him. So in short, for Ichigo to acquire Fullbring could have been a plus in that aspect, in other words, to keep Tensa's split personalities in control of each other and work as ONE.
And,... another thought crossed my mind, since we talk about Tensa Zangetsu:
Let's suppose Tensa Zangetsu was the one who was suffering the most...
... for example, after he was somehow implemented into Ichigo since Ichigo's birth by either Aizen, or preferably by Isshin, who could have possessed Tensa Zangetsu during his term as a Shinigami captain, and passed it on to prevent Ichigo's possible ritual of becoming an Espada. I mean, maybe Tensa Zangetsu was contaminated by the evil Hybrid Hollow power which would in many years to come, manifest itself on him for a long term and grow, as soon as Ichigo's Shinigami powers would awaken through Rukia, the first time they met.
In an alternative scenario however, which maybe was more likely:
If we really focus on Aizen and his evil Hollow experimentation, it could also simply be that Tensa Zangetsu originally was the prototype of a new Espada Zanpaktou breed, I mean the Espada type of Bankai (however you may call that, I forgot the proper name), which hasn't been perfected by the time then.
And when Aizen really was the one who implemented that power into baby Ichigo, I mean I think it would make perfect sense, that his Hollow powers would always easily prevail in desperate situations, since we all witnessed how terrible this power turned out. And Urahara and Isshin could have been the ones to have implemented positive Shinigami Reiatsu from Isshin into Tensa Zangetsu and simply split the personalities of the two, in order to prevent the worst from happening which would be a complete Hollowfication of Ichigo since birth...
... now if we revise the scenario in which Ichigo faced Tensa Zangetsu in his complete form, so in other words Hybrid Hollow and Tensa Zangetsu himself, Tensa, upon his defeat to Ichigo's persistence to attain the Final Getsuga Tenshou, mentioned that the thing that he wanted to protect was not the same that Ichigo intended to protect. The one he wanted to protect was Ichigo himself because... he was simply part of him since birth as either an incomplete prototype for that new Espada Zanpaktou breed, that I recently mentioned, or in the first scenario originally a part of Isshin who passed it on to his own son since birth.
If all that I mentioned above proves to be correct for the upcoming events, it would be no wonder that Tensa Zangetsu was suffering the most, especially after Ichigo attained and used up his entire Reiatsu and Shinigami powers to perform the Final Getsuga Tenshou...
So, how do you think, my friend?
1 year, 8 months ago
well, first off is that in Naruto, i think it was his mother's love that gave Naruto the strength to contain the evil Kyuubi chakra. prior to that, Naruto had to keep in check his evil intent.
going now to Bleach, the hollow part of Ichigo as describe before is Ichigo's instinct. as human as he is, the instinct to survive kicks in and overwhelms Ichigo. the thing is, that instinct itself is a manifestation of Ichigo's reiatsu and so is Tensa Zangetsu.
to continue with your theory, i also think Aizen did or have something to do with Ichigo's monstrous reiatsu. whether he directly injected something on Ichigo or caused something to happen to Ichigo.
now, i'll focus on the "cause". remember, Aizen was the one who sent Rukia on the trail to a hollow where this series started, the fated meeting of Rukia and Ichigo. Rukia transfered some Reiatsu to ichigo in order to save himself and his family. but, that time, Aizen already knows that Urahara hidden the hougyoku inside of Rukia. what if the one transfered to Ichigo was the actual "WILL" of hougyoku which helps Ichigo to realize all his will into form.
Thus, the creation of Tensa Zangetsu, which as described is Ichigo's persona. now, Fullbring is another addition to this puzzle. it allows these reiatsu to be taken into human form. that means, it has authority over hollow and shinigami powers.
like you said, it may have the ability to control the hollow being inside Ichigo and take control of the half power of Ichigo. you never know, it may also be the will of Hougyoku inside Ichigo.
1 year, 8 months ago
Ichigo is awesome that is all I gots to say
1 year, 8 months ago
you got that right. i remember the first time i came to know the series Bleach thru the ps2 games in the store. then i tried to watch a few series and the impression was like Rurouni Kenshin meets Naruto.. that was Ichigo.lol
1 year, 8 months ago
Ichigo did influence the Hougyoku...it was him that made it fail Aizen when he needed the Hougyoku the most...but I don't think the Hougyoku will have a part to play here...it doesn't make sense because if Ichigo and the Hougyoku were linked at this moment Ichigo wouldn't have needed Rukia and the other's reiatsu to recover his shinigami powers...just his will to fight would have been enough...it was like that with Sado and Inoue who Aizen said gained their powers basically because of the Hougyoku...but I too think Aizen had something to do with Ichigo's duality of hollow and shinigami...and maybe even the cause of his fullbring...he might be behind the attack on Ichigo's mother... I also don't think that his hollow will need the instinct to survive to reappear...but I also don't think he will appear in the near future...or zangetsu for that matter...Ichigo is tecnically in his human form although his powers are active...neither zangetsu or the hollow ever appeared while he was in his human form I think...I don't think they can...they are spiritual beings in essence...so I think Ichigo's fullbring is really the leash for the instability and duality of Ichigo's powers like you said Maxi-Ryu99.
ps - Sorry that my other answer was short...but besides that I didn't have anymore to say about the filler arcs except criticize and criticize...and that would not have been useful to the discussion...it was not my intention to create spam...sorry...
pps - Just finished this week's chapter...Yachiru is so cute! And Byakuya...what to say in face of perfection unless WOW!
1 year, 8 months ago
yes, it's quite true, nevertheless, the Hougyoku was sealed again by Urahara so its will won't help Ichigo recover his reiatsu. why i'm speculating like this is because they didn't even tried to destroy the Hougyoku after all the damage is done. the verdict was given to Aizen but nothing on the hougyoku.
regarding the latest chapter, lol.. didn't expect Yachiru was with Zaraki. they really compliment each other.
oh yeah, Byakuya wasn't exactly happy, more like to be glad because once again, he can show his pride and honor to those people without it.
1 year, 8 months ago
What,... the Manga out.... so early?????
You gotta be kidding me!!!!!
Wait, wait... let's check it out...
Okay, checked and confirmed, Yachiru is really as cute as always and so vivid when talking with Kenpachi after that "boring fight" that he had with that WANNABE Body Builder who could probably influence time, but Kenpachi defeated him in "no time", haha...
In the mean Ichigo is about to get ready to face Kuugo, just to be interrupted by his fellow Ishida who confessed something about past events about that Substitute Shinigami thing, and who actually plans to take on Kuugo as well. Ichigo of course tells Ishida to get the hell out of the way, since he obviously wants take on Kuugo by himself.
Back in the doll house, Rukia is about to engage in battle with Riruka, and Toushiro is taking on Gameboy Master.
At last, Kuchiki Byaku is up against Tsukushima, and just briefly tells him about Ichigo's and Zaraki's fighting personalities and his honest opinion about his "backstabbing" and what a coward Tsukushima actually is. Full of pride and self confidence, Byakuya is getting ready for the next battle...
... and I guess Tsukushima is getting his ass wooped...
... as I said, eveyrthing looks like to be a showcase to demonstrate the development of the Shinigami squad and make room for Ichigo's battle against Ginjou Kuugo. The X-cution group may not be the real enemy here...
1 year, 8 months ago
if Zaraki is bored with that, i guess i'm worst than bored seeing it ended as simple as that. man. just how much of a reiatsu does Zaraki have?
i think it was funny how Rukia was so caught into that doll house. it's light mood really sets up the cold atmosphere between Byakuya and Tsukushima.
like i said, Byakuya is very keen on such details and his pride will tell how serious he is. he activated Zenbonsakura without calling its name..
1 year, 8 months ago
... well I think that tells the whole story, doesn't it?
Byakuya is simply "all business", no questions asked, and no need for words. The way he perfectly described the two extreme personalities of Ichigo and Zaraki Kenpachi and put it into analytical perspective for Tsukushima's choice of opponents indicates his routine and experience as a keen veteran leader of his division and calmly ruthless and resolute as well.
Byakuya was always known for his lightning speed movements and attacks. If we recall ourselves the first meeting with Ichigo, he simply knocked off Ichigo in no time at that time, and was therefore a rightful choice for Ichigo's first real rival during the "Rukia Execution Arc"... I think in the mean time he must be way faster on his feet than in the past, because everyone in Soul society must have improved by now, and I think he's gonna whoop Tsukushima's as and set Ichigo's friends free from his curse.
BTW I'm wondering who Abarai Renji is gonna fight? Maybe together with Madarame Ikkaku against Tsukushima's goon, that tough guy with the iron knuckles, who couldn't bring himself to kill Orihime.
1 year, 8 months ago
that's Byakuya.. the stiffest man in Bleach. not even Yama-gi can break his spirit. i guess, he does keep a measurement of all his enemies. he did duel Zaraki and Ichigo before so he knows the extent of both in terms of how they fight and why they fight.
well, he is Yoruichi's apprentice in Shunpo and thus the lightning speed ability. you can say if the shards of Senbonsakura moves in the same speed as well, then Byakuya would be really terrifying then.
i think Abarai would be facing the one with the leg attack whom Ichigo fought before when learning his fullbring out. this will showcase how Renji's Zabimaru can stand against flexible and highly agile opponent which in the past proves devastating for him.
1 year, 8 months ago
" just how much of a reiatsu does Zaraki have?"....personally...I don't think I want to know...I also find it oddly disturbing that the only leash to control Kenpachi is a little girl that most of the time appears to be very cute and harmless...but as we have seen isn't really that and might be in fact the strongest person on her squadron...
I also think you might be right Maxi-Ryu99 when you say that the X-cution group might not be the real enemy...I was intrigued by Ishida's words in this chapter...it might suggest that there's more to it than what has been said...
I think I would like to see Ikkaku facing the woman with the boots alone...I think it will give us more information about Ikkaku's personality...
1 year, 8 months ago
@Muraki3777: lol.. if you look at Zaraki and Yachiru, they are both extreme ends of a person. one who lives only to fight, the other is an innocent little girl. though, Yachiru is boasting a vast amount of reiatsu as well.
if Ishida's hint was right, maybe someone's have planned all of these to happen. though, not without Urahara noticing it. for all we know, he could be the player here.
1 year, 8 months ago
@Muraki377: Well, I mean, Ichigo couldn't care less about Ishida's words now, since he obviously is anxious to take Kuugo on by himself, in an honorable One on One battle 'cause in the end Ichigo told his friend to get the hell out of his way and let him handle Kuugo by himself.
Ichigo is also not someone who bothers with other people's past. And to give you another example, during the Aizen battles, when Ichigo recognizes his dad as a Shinigami for the first time, and as Isshin apparently was about to apologize to him for "not telling him" Ichigo told him "You don't need to explain anything, if it's bothering you." So Ichigo is someone who lives for the moment and not someone dwelling in the past. Such a strong personality...
And about Yachiru,... she's actually the one guiding Kenpachi because he is as "orientation lost" as Zoro in One Piece, without her he's gonna get lost. I like Zaraki Kenpachi for his valiant, sarcastic humor in battle and confidence, because this is what makes him the one and only Kenpachi
And on the side note, I also agree with you about your statement that the Hogyoku doesn't have a lot to do with Ichigo's fate, because I think that the Hogyouku was kind of incomplete at that time and as a reader and follower of a series, you do not have quite the senses to notice that anyway because during these early stages, I mean, nobody ever heard of Hogyoku, right?
Ikkaku is faced with that iron knuckle tough guy, I think you meant to say Renji against that Iron Boot woman...
1 year, 8 months ago
We haven't even seen Yachiru fight yet, no Bankai, nothing. Will we ever see her in real action? Otherwise we will never know...
1 year, 8 months ago
i haven't seen Yachiru's shikai before either but i do remember Inoue commenting about how strong Yachiru is in terms of personality as well as her reiatsu.
Ichigo lives in his own term and probably the death of her mother affected him so much that made him to move forward without holding back for even a second.
though, Ichigo's conflict was clearly shown during his denial of his hollow side. Grimmjow said that Ichigo, though his first concern is to protect his friends and family, has also the pure instinct to fight, not just in terms of survival but rather pure rage as well. this was left off undeveloped.
more so i thought, that it was that side of Ichigo that created the hollow inside him.
