Your work looks nice.
The comics are pretty consistent in style and in proportion. I really liked that "Pencil for Peace 2009" comic. Not sure what the rules/theme were but it would have been cool if you added 1-2 more pages.
Instead of the guy being mortared or naded (what I am getting from the light coming from above and not below), he would have stepped on a land mine. His final step toward the flower would have made a clicking effect sound. Then the wind would have blown on the flower and show it falling a part (it was already dead but barely hanging on, like the soldier). Knowing he would not have very long to live, it would go through the expressions on the 2nd page. After that a panel showing his foot lifting up setting off the mine.
When the dust clears up, it shows a bunch of flowers scattering through out the air. A bed of flowers had actually been buried under the dirt due to the wind covering it with sand from all the explosions. Then maybe you could have fit in another meaning.
Just an idea I wanted to share while looking at the comic that I couldn't hold on. :D
