Hi guys i want some comments on my Conticarte wall. Ok first what did i make. I wanted to make it that Conticarte floads on a imaginare nightsky lake.
I used a Dark blue backround added stars on it. Where Conti is standing there a ripple in the sky underneath is a shadow made with ripple. There is a Koi with a Searose and leafs in the mid right. I used the pen tool and made somthing like a spirit flow under her. In the upper right corner is a crimson red moon. All over made with perspective and rest is finetuning with contrast and so on.
After some work on it i made a new rev of this pic. The Koi and the leafs are gone now there are only water Lilies with a little dragonflie above. The backround color changed a little. The ripples under conti are not so many anymore. the spirits changed color from green to purple.

I think you have too many ripples. And It might just be me, but the lily pad either feels out of place or it needs a shadow in the water too because if you give 1 thing a shadow you need to give other stuff in the water a shadow too!

Hii!!! at last I can see your work! I think this is a quite good idea, but my first impresions are two:
-is a bit small
-and colors don't match at all.
the size of the scan is that limited? can't this be bigger? I love the background, looks kinda relaxing and romantic, and misterious? but I don't like colours at all, she's so red and pink, and the back is dark blue, nice. but those green bubbles don't fit anyway and the koi too, I mean...I would quit the green, blue and red is a great team, so that's enough. I suggest using just searoses in different pink tones and the spirit shine in pink too, or white...or soft blue....but not green XD
I doo agree with adren about ripples, and the moon looks weird...
I wish you can make it better, it's a good idea!! I love water walls!! and the stars are so nice...

The revision seems to be better as the first one, the green clashed with the rest originally. But I still think the character should have more defined the dark/bright parts. Since is night and guessing from the scene a moonshine should be there, no? Plus resolution is not acceptable, 1024x640 is something what I don't know for what a display could be. Maybe resized by Photobucket? But even if you tried to make 1024x768, is a way too small for todays standards.

Your wall is beautiful, I think it's already good enough for submission ^^ maybe like akiranyo said just give more dark details on the character since it's night and all lol
Oh and don't forget to change your resolution, believe me you don't want to submit wrong resolution to AP, it really ruins your day -.- (yes I recently just submit a "3003 x 1600????" wall hahaha..... (WTH??))
BTW I don't get why AP now doesn't have the session zero wall section...it was really convenient you know.......

The resolution does not meet minimum requirements.
It needs to be at least be 1024x768. Your signature also needs to be a bit bigger. I can barely read it.
The ripple is actually going over your spirits. This creates some depth issues. If they are actually entering the water you need to reduce their opacity and give them a slight blue tint to them.
The reflection should be lined up with the character. A reflection would only look diagonal like that if the character was leaning towards it. Since she is standing straight up that isn't the case.
The character's quality isn't very smooth or sharp. She has a lot of noise on her.

So Rev3. changed the shadow to lined up with her. the spirits opitcy is lower so there look like underwater. Made a complete redraw of the outlines and the lines from the shadows. Made the shodows darker and did light up some parts. About the size orginal is 2560x1600 but photobucket does resize it dont know why and for some reasons some people cant see the imageshack link sorry about that.

yes i love much more this new version, is realy harmonic, but I still think there are too many ripples in the water but looks much great than the other version. I'm sorry about my last comment, I didn't know that imageshak changed your pic's resolution.
if you're satisfied with your work I think there might be no problem uploading now.
