Anyway, I'm not really a metal fan but the subgenres that have a melody are pretty good. Folk metal - epicness, I listen to Wintersun and Ensiferum. After them I couldn't find a band with equally good lyrics. Metal with opera vocals is also pretty awesome, but the lyrics suck again.

Also like metal bands with clean vocals, haven't found many tho. Only few songs from The Devil Wears Prada,The Blood brothers and the already mentioned folk metal bands.

I listen to quite a lot of metal, it's practically what I breathe.

Opeth, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Testament, Iron Maiden, Kreator, Metallica, Slayer, Manowar, Epica, Dope, Blood For Blood, Ayreon, Rage Against The Machine.

Those are the bands I listen to most frequently but my favorite metal band of all time is a tie between Opeth and Megadeth.

Geeze is that what you call a metal? have you heard obituary, behemoth, ragnarok, draconian..so on so forth..

I love metal songs, as long as it is in the right tone. Not just random shout out with meaningless lyrics. I usually prefer a hybrid of it, eg. pop-metal, alternative-metal, etc.

I enjoy Metal, though it's not very consistent for me. I'll like maybe one or two songs from a band but think the rest of their stuff is crap. d: Soo i have yet to really fall in love with any metal bands so to speak.

I like symphonic metal mainly. My favourite bands are:

-Rhapsody of Fire

-Within Temptation

-Nightwish

my favorite bands are Metallica, Megadeth ,Bullet for my valentine, avenged sevenfold , evile and pantera

That something is clear, the metalcore and nu metal NOT METAL. My favorite power metal, makes me imagine things, it sounds epic. Also, the heavy metal and symphonic metal, I do not love as much as the power, but still love them, haha :3

I'm in for Melodic Death Metal, such as BfmV, In Flames or Dark Tranquillity. Though it's not that this is the only stuff I'm listening to, like Power Metal or even non-Metal ;)
