Based on the manga, Ao no Futsumashi.
"This world consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which the humans live, Assiah. The other is the world of demons, Gehenna. Ordinarily, travel between the two, and indeed any kind of contact between the two, is impossible.
However the demons can pass over into this world by possessing anything that exist within it.
Satan is the god of demons; but there's one thing that he doesn't have, and that's a substance in the human world that is powerful enough to contain him!!
For that purpose he created Rin, his son from a human woman, but will his son agree to his plans? Or will he become something else...? An exorcist?"
I just finished watching the second episode of this series, and I'm so excited to see more of it! I really like the set-up so far, and the action is nicely done. I haven't read the manga yet, and I'm glad of that since I tend to be harsher on an anime if I've read the manga first, but so far, this is one of the few series this season that has appealed to me.
The animation is very good, and, while there are a lot of 'exorcist' anime out there, I just think that there's something interesting about this one that makes me look forward to seeing more.

I'm currently fighting the urge to start the manga to get more of the story, but I've done that before, and it rather ruined the anime for me. Because I tend to get more out of manga than I do anime, I find that if I read something before I watch its counterpart, it normally works against me.
Still, I have to admit that I'm so anxious for the next episode, and it's hard to discuss the anime without spoilers! It'll just be interesting to see Rin at school, lol!

I'm watching the anime and reading the manga just because I want the story yet the anime usually adds some extra twists that the manga won't usually give you

My experience is that it's better to watch the anime first THEN read the manga. There will be a TON of differences between the two because there is a lot of filler thrown in anime to occupy the 20+ minute mark and to stretch certain story arcs to hit season markers (episodes in multiples of 13). ... Or some ideas are harder to translate into animation than being drawn out on manga pages. ... Or to give time to the artist/writer to put out more material.
Ducky0011, resist the urge!!!! By reading ahead, I've ruined the anime experience for a couple of series already, as well.

I like it, but it seems to have that "one problem per episode with a conclusion and fix at the end" issue that most anime tends to have when it plans to be around for a long while. The manga is similar (it's sold out in my town here in Japan) but I wish they would focus more on what the real goal is rather than bide time. D:

its a pretty good anime... the first season has already completed (25 episodes) it ended really cool... i also like how Rin develops in the anime.

Wow! this seems so interesting! especially the mirror part! i don't know why or how but i gotta feeling this might be true, witches and people who practices the black arts, put special emphasis into mirrors, but i never heard of a different dimension (plane of existence), two dimensions joined as one, the humans live in one, the shadows in the other!
