Anyone else into fighting games like:
SSF4:AE MvC3 Tekken BlazBlue Arcana Hearts 3 3rd Strike Soul Calibur etc
If so, what's your poison? Do you like 3D fighters or 2D fighters? Anime fighters?
For me I like 2D fighters like Street Fighter better and play a mean Cammy in SSF4:AE. I play some MvC3 but will never be any good at it. Lucky I somehow made it up to 4th Lord. Played in 2 tournaments and got eliminated in the first round in both though >.<. But I hope to get better as I practice more and more.

The same here, I´ve never be so good in 3D games ( I hate you Soul Kalibur!! )so 2D is the mine, specially Guilty Gear Accent Core, for me this game still be the King of 2D.
I liked Blazblue but the continued problems with the patches and downloads slow down mi love for it.
Furthermore Guilty Gear = Heavy metal / BlazBlue = Soft Rock..

I'm not very adept at most fighting games, but the Smash Bros. series (if this qualifies) are an exception. The original, Melee, and especially Brawl will always be my games.

I like 2D fighting games, they have more simple mechanics and more fast paced. With 3D fighters one can easily get distracted by all random stuff in the background and controls take some time to get used to.

I bought Soul Calibur V last week and it's a good game. But I was a bit disappointed by the content... Anyway, looks great on a 60" screen !

I like to play Street Fighters and King of Fighters because they are classic 2D fighters games. As for 3D I played Dead or Alive 2 on the ps2, although I was not that good at it but it was fun.

I like to play 2D fighting games but since my sister always beats me in SF Alpha 3, I never get into 2D games. Since Tekken 5, I eventually got me interested in 3D fighting games and it's easier to play than other fighting games.

Definitely 2D. 3D makes my head go funny and I feel really sick after a bit (I'm not gamer type obviously). I really liked the street fighter series due to it large character set and the very complicated character relationships. It's also a lot more fun when there are charcters like El Fuerte who jump into arenas with frying pans and spends his time running into your punches.
Anyway, i am really bad with spatial awareness. In most 3D games, I need my opponent to stand completely still for me to have any hope of hitting them and turning around confuses me. Another thing that always bugs me is that I always hit walls in 3D game and get stuck there. It's like a curse. Have you ever been KO'd because the only opponent you could see was a wall? I have and it's not funny (actually, it's hilarious).
That's why my vote goes to a simple 2D platform type fighting game.

I like 3Ds, but 2Ds are also fine with me. Tekken is my favorite fighting game.

I'm not really into it. It ain't good to have access to too much violence.

Hm. I've played some of the classics like Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Soul Caliber, etc. I don't own them though. I just play them occasionally. I think I do better in the 2D fighters, just because of the simplicity. I'm also rather drawn to the sharper art styles of the 2D fighters, and the (usually) quicker movements.
Can't believe nobody has mentioned this one though: P4 Arena! Haha, honestly though, it has a similar kind of feel as a 2D fighter; I'm slowly getting the controls. Some different ways of doing combos in there, a little less button mashing and more control stick movements. Still really enjoyable though, especially for fans of both fighting games and Atlus.

I personally like more 2D games specially the KOF 98 or any KOF series. In 3D I like the KOF maximum impact and some tekken I guess. I feel like 3D fighting games are much more slow and you cant do much, and the effects are not too flashy as in 2D fighting games though.

I mostly play 2D fighters like Street Fighter, Capcom vs, Guilty Gear, Blazblue, KOF, Darkstalkers, and Arcana Heart. Tekken and Virtua Fighter is the only 3D fighters I play the most. Manly Tekken. I played alot of fighting games, and I've play almost every fighter. Except for Melty Blood.

I'm a Tekken guy thru and thru but I play almost every fighter out there. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has been eating up most of my time lately. I wish TTT2 it didnt release 1 month after Persona 4 Arena. I really want to get good at the game but I just can't seem to put down Tekken Tag 2,
