If they redo or remaster ones that need it, like they're going to do for Rurouni Kenshin. It'd be great to see animes that didn't follow their manga be redone to follow the manga.

if it turns out like evangelion and its movies, then it won't be anything other than epic

No a new character = No a new item

I think it's good of course. Mainly the animes that are extremely old and are in horrible quality. I wish they would do the same with most of these really amazing animes out there to be honest. In a way I'd prefer if they just simply remastered but I also like when they redraw it or fix up some of the shadowing/ drawing errors from before. More so when the anime is just a classic, it makes it that much more epic. you have the choice if you want to watch it enhanced or the original form.

I like some remastered. Some of them are classics after all. Otherwise I'd prefer a re-make.

If it's stuff like that amazing Cowboy Bebop Remix thing, then yeah, I'm fine with remastering.
The enhanced sound really did a ton for bringing out the amazing music.

It's good. Some of the creators wanted to go for a remastered version. Because it needs to be refreshed, different background of the story, voice acting and facial and body expressions.
Animation production are decided to give creators a refresher version of the series/OVA/movie and others.

I think it could go both ways. Some anime like Sailor Moon probably shouldn't be touched again because it might kill the overall amazingness. FMA has proved to be quite amazing. And I really hope they do a remake for Fruits Basket because let's face it, the first series was terrible towards the end. As for Rurouni Kenshin's remake... I don't know, I need to watch it to be able to make an opinion out of it.

For me, it really depends. I would like to see a lot of classic series being remastered but I'm somewhat afraid of the changes they might make to the story or the characters in the process. Sometimes, the changes are good but, other times, they aren't and that's the problem for me, really. I hate seeing a series I love being remastered and getting so many changes that it stops being great and just becomes an ok series...

The "classics" deserve the makeover treatment the most. I recently got Yu Yu Hakusho on BluRay, and I must say that it looks superb on a 40-inch HDTV. The colors are darker and bolder; they pop the way they should. As for the audio, Funiamtion re-dubbed the entire show, but they didn't write a new script for it. They edited/touched-up the entire original script and rerecorded everything to better match the mouth movements of the characters. However, the original Japanese dub is untouched.
Plus, the packaging is nice. They made it look like an anime version of those Barnes & Noble classic specials.

I loved the EVAs and the first film of "Ghost in the Shell 2.0" (with some cg animated scenes). So if the work is equal or better than those Id be more than happy to watch a good anime again, with better quality. PS:GITS is a masterpiece no matter whether remastered or not, just to be clear.

It's okay if it's remastered, but I hope they retain the same voice actors

Dragon Ball Z Kai was supposed to be a remastered shorter version with no filler but... I felt like it was kind of lamer than what was already given to us... I especially disliked the soundtrack... not that the old one was any good but the new ones were just annoying and repetitive to hear..."Villain attacks"
