Wallpapers and Walling

I guess photoshop and illustrator are the best to start with. Why? Cause you can find tons of tutorials about those two on the net. Don't even try to find some for Corel Photo Paint -___- Photoshop is good on a lot of different technics. Illustrator is more for vectors (but as I never used it let's wait for someone else's comment).

I don't think I'm the best to answer your complex question but I'll tell how I started with walling.

First I picked a scan I really liked. I cleaned it as good as I could and started to design a background that could fit with it. My first design was just shitty! But posting my wallpaper on the Session Zero of the forum made it up to a B+ rating in the AP Gallery. :)

Session Zero was the old name for this part of the forum. A place where you can submit your wallpaper in progress to the rest of the wallers and ask for advice and help.

So yeah first get the concept of your wall or a scan to start with. Then post all the gear here and you'll see if people can help you out. The more details you give us in the description the more help we can give you. But first of all it's really to start walling something so we can have something to comment about.

Don't forget to pass by the HELP button on top of all the pages to get more information about the resolutions of the walls accepted here and so on... It helps to avoid a rejection cause of missing signature or wrong size of wallpaper!
