Just went Anime Festival Asia 2011 the past 3 days and it was awesome. There were really cool cosplays there. Hopefully, I would like to cosplay too, it the festival returns next year.

I love cosplay, but I don't have a talent for it.

If they got a talent for it I like it but your body needs to be close to the character (not to tall or short). I however don't look like any character I like so I don't really cosplay myself.

The truth, seems to me ridiculous see a person disguised as a character! Although, if people are happy doing what it does, then keep doing it.

I find it really rare for someone to be actually good at cosplay. Normally, the costumes don't look right due to the fabrics used and the people tend to not look right. It is almost impossible to pretend to be a manga/anime character and people just look out of proportion because the characters are themselves out of proportion.

I've never done cosplay myself, but it seems like fun if you have the money, talent, and physical traits for it. There are a few video game characters I wouldn't mind dressing up as.

I love cosplay, but I'm terrible at sewing. xD And the materials can get really expensive, too. I love looking at other cosplayers' costumes, though. Some of them are really amazing.

Not to be mean, but I've seen plenty of terrible cosplays. Although, I've also seen some really good ones. So, as a whole, I don't mind it.

Like Kaienna said, there are a LOT of "CosFAILs" around, I rarely see epic Cosplayers and when I do, well, congrats to then for such an amazing achievement considering most Cosplay stuff (cloths and props) look terribly fake... If i ever, ever consider making a cosplay of someone I would either use the most realistic clothing existent on earth or i wouldn't bother trying. But I guess it would be a hell of expensive to pay for such realism (film quality, ok a bit extremist but don't blame me, I'm way too perfectionist)...

I like to see people cosplay, but not do it myself, as I dont have the time, the money, the passion nor the figure to do it..ehehhehe

I wouldn't say no to this as cosplay is currently my hobby. I just started cosplaying last year but I only cosplay seasonally. I'm more on props making (armors, weapon replicas etc) coz I'm not really gifted with being photogenic. What I lack I make it up with detailed props.

Yes cosplay is pretty much an expensive hobby, but if you're really on to it, I believe you wouldn't mind the cost. Besides, if you work hard on your cosplay, you can enter competitions and win prizes (usually money).

As for the CosFails, I'd have to agree there are people like that, but usually they are newbies to the cosplay community.

Cosplay is my battlefield. It is where I can show others what I can do and I'm proud of being a cosplayer.
