Hi everyone, here is my first wallpaper attempt. I made it simple on purpose, didn't want to overreach my limited skill set, although I think the effect I was looking for worked.
Would just like a couple tips on the bottom right corner, it just looks too solid to me, but whatever I do to it, it becomes too clustered. Hope that makes sense.

The composition lacks any real focal point. Any potentially interesting features are pushed too close to the border and cause the eye to be lead out of the image. You may find that rearranging elements will address both your concerns about the void in the corner and improve the strength of the composition.
A general rule of thumb to consider is the rule of thirds.

Try splashing a bit more of a change in gradient in there, I understand you wish to keep it simple and have chosen a nice purple theme but there are many more sides of the purple spectrum that are not present here, the image could come alive a lot more if you just added a little bit more color and perhaps change some details into a white to really make the eye appreciate the color. Your forefront silhouette could be a reverse gradient from the background too.

You could just move your diagonal purple lines more to the right.
This will help cut the void.

Get rid of the really large text and don't make the head touch the edge.
