"I don't think this is good, but I don't think it's bad, either... it has potential, let's just say that^^

The most important thing is to add something else than just a picture and that's it. But since this is about Gaara's lonelyness and sadness, it wouldn't be too good to put much other stuff in there, either.
What I think you could do is:

- Add some kind of title
If you can think of something good, you should even put in 2 lines. That always looks good and makes it seem a little more professional.

- Work out the BG
Sure, as I mentioned before, you shouldn't put too much stuff in there, but you already started with putting those small sand-clouds around him, why don't you try and put a few more in there, add some seperate grains of sand or play around with some kind of texture?^^

- Make the picture more interesting
Since this little picture in the middle is the center of the whole thing, you should turn it into something that really attracts the viewers' eyes. For that, you could play around with the saturation and/or the colors a little, place the big eyes of the demon inside him directly above him, make the picture a little bigger, etc


And I agree, you should make your signature a little clearer :) If you don't want to the delete "Toppy", you could put an "ali1617 on animepaper.net" in brackets behind it or something ^_-

Well :) I think your choice of colour was pretty good, too... not that I don't think other colors wouldn't have fitted it too, but meh... this one looks great x)
I think what I especially like about it is that you managed to make the background look royal quite well - which is because of the color, the brushes (?) and the font you used - Tamaki himself is, of course, not too royal xD So, nice contrast, perfect match with the title xD

It has an amazing feeling to it and I really like the combination of brushes, lightning and textures you used^^ I would like it more if it would have been a little green-ish-er, more like the tone of Franziskas hair and accesoires, though.
Also it'd look even better if you had lowered the saturation of the character a bit, imho ^_^
Basically I'd say what I don't like is that the foreground and the background don't seem to compliment each other too well.
