"This really does resemble alexxius's work, especially the "stringy" paint style. I'll get right down to. As masterfully as this is painted I have some issues with the composition. First of all, I think the town in the center looks a little incomplete. I think it'd be better if you extended it to the left and right a little more. The way the sand comes around it and the blurring along the edges, it makes it seem as if there was more but a layer mask was applied. Also, are all the white dots embers? They almost resemble a distant city because the wind is not carrying them any particular direction. When I saw them at first I was thinking they were the twinkling lights of a distant city. Around the embers (if that is what they are) is a slightly darker tone than the sand color on the mountains and in the foreground. Again, this gives it a layer mask feeling, like you brushed away portions of the ember layer as you saw fit. I hope you understand what I'm saying. If not, I'll try and clarify further. Wonderful job with the foreground building rubble, cars, and Ed. The cat is a nice addition to the "war-torn" atmosphere. Its a fav from me, I can tell it was time well-spent. "

"The sun and texture hurt this wall a lot, especially in the top left area. I'm not sure if you used the texture to cover quality defects during the extension process or you used it to convey some type of atmosphere, but to me it looks like a low-quality texture and makes the image appear to be compressed in a low-quality JPEG format. I admire your job on the scan extension. My complaint with the sun is that it is not convincing - it looks like a smudge. Make it more dynamic and vibrant. Removing it altogether wouldn't be detrimental, either. Nice job though, an appropriate wall for the season!"

great work, everything is well thought out and the composition is nicely done. The text placement is ideal but I have an issue with the slightly blurry phrases, they clash slightly with the sharp, vectored theme of the wall, especially the detailed flowers it lies near and upon. The hair gradient is a nice touch, it is subtle and leads the eye upwards into the other details. "

"I think adding an unsharp mask on the character would help it blend a little better against the realism of that door behind her. Otherwise, the colors are nice and the overlays give it a nice magical, chant quality. "

"Not bad, you achieved what you were going for, the only problem I see is related to depth. The snowflakes are the main issue, they look like they are a single layer in front of the character which throws off the perspective a bit. Work more with various brush sizes and foreground and background blur so that the focus is on the character and it will make it look more like a mystical forest. "

"I agree with metalmallow, I think the problem its hard to tell if the branches are foreground shapes or shadows. Other than that is great, I really like the grass texture you used. The bit of grass overlapping near her chest looks a bit brushed on, but that's being picky. So peaceful, I wish this was widescreen! ;) "

Then again, I haven't seen the series, so maybe it does. I'd be a little scared to go there, though, with that kung-fu pigeon that's about to dropkick the rest of its buddies.

"The background is not bad, but the character is very washed out. Adjust the levels and contrast and you should be able to get her to fit in better. Try duplicating the character level, gaussian blurring it at around 6.0, fading the gaussian blur to 60%, then setting the layer to Soft Light."

"Swordfish, that is a mask he wears when he wants to maintain his Death Reaper alias. The background to this is awesome. The skyline, grunge, and lighting all fit in very well. There is one thing that bothers me a lot and that is his mask. It looks like the sleeves on his arm going up should come over the edge of the mask a bit. Perhaps if you fix the sharp edge of the mask it wouldn't look so distracting. I also think you should have put some grunge effects on the text. Besides that, this is one of my favorites from you! "

"Great job man! The lighting is really well done. Faye looks sexier than normal. I especially like how you blurred the top parts of Spike and Faye where they are in the shadows.
