This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
"No one will appreciate it this but I most certaintly do!
Though, this is best left at PV, lol. sexy job from two sexy ladies!" View

"You're not doing a whole heck of lot in these scan edits. That clone tool is getting plenty of use, perhaps some brushing. this is evident in the loss of many details in the background. It does make a nice desktop, so I guess that's all anyone really cares about. You have skills, but I'd like to see some more originality and concept in your works instead of just scan additions/editing." View

"I kind of agree with ShiNN on this one, but it does look nice. One question - did you just paint over the scan? If the scan is a BG layer in your PSD I'd like to see a version with that layer hidden. You know, for proof that you painted everything and didn't just enhance the scan. Cause I just adjusted the levels, contrast and saturation and got a result VERY similar to this. " View

"Mods are getting slack. This looks VERY incomplete. The stock photo is low quality. Sesshomaru is slightly faded with some white brushes over top of him. Very bland, the only reason people will like this is because of the clouds. Come on man, put some more effort out, as helix said you are capable of much more." View

"I have to agree with MK about those lines.. they aren't too bad, its just the dark green borders that bother me. A little more work and you could have made them more seamless. Actually if you just took away the dark green borders it'd be a lot better! I really love what you did with the characters, the washed out look with selective coloring. Did you just do selective desaturation and manual color overlays? I'd like to know more about that technique. XD" View

"That's not a stock photo. Stock photos in deviantart are in the STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY section. This is a very masterfully taken architecture shot, and recieved a daily deviation nontheless. Stock photos are ones the artist gives permission to use in a work of art. This is not. Regardless, you implemented it well. It looks a bit blurry but surprisingly it manages to still look good. "Two main problems I see - first of all, are there supposed to be black lines on his shoes? It looks like its supposed to be for his suit only. A quick layer mask should take care of that. Also, the perspective is very odd since its a flat vertical background but then there's him standing up o_o. Its like a space paradox. @__@ Though I shouldn't complain about that, since my last wall had a wonky perspective too, lol. " View

"Wow, major props for even attempting this. You did an awesome job for your first time. It looks a little, how should I saw, "pixellated", I've seen some pixel art where they were able to make it not crisp but not jagged on the edges, I forgot how they did it but I remember seeing a tutorial on it. Still, great job with all the details. It lost a lot of quality in the JPG transition, I'd like to see a high quality version so I can really see it in all its glory. XD" View

"Character extraction is very bad - just look at her hair, all the white parts in the strand gaps. Clearly you rushed this out and didn't do a final inspection. The snowflake crystal brush is cool, but you don't see snowflake structure like that except under a microscope. XD Nontheless, it does look cool. Nice job with the tree in the background, if you painted that." View

I'm sure he'll see it and remember the good times. That image is pretty funny though, its like he's making her do the Campbell soup face. "The best part of college is meeting people. You don't pay that tuition just to go to class. ;) There are LOADS of oppurtunities on campus that make the experience worth your time. Your problem probably lies within a self-fulfilling prophecy - you go into each day in college expecting that you will meet new people but not have a chance to open up to them. If you just go to class and see them you probably won't. ;) Join clubs, go to theatre performances, make dinner plans. It is tough but you need to let go. I don't know where you go to college but going back home every weekend is not a good thing to do if you want to be immersed in the rich lifestyle college life offers. Its not all about parties and indulgences, its a life lesson, one that shows you what you're made of and shapes you accordingly. And man, judging by your taste in literature and television you should have no problem finding some people to hang out with, all my lady friends would talk to you for 2 hours nonstop about one tree hill, lol.
As for the wall, I'm not a fan of the pixellated look all of the characters in your recent walls have. Are you vectoring using the pen tool + stroke? Treat each line as an object and you'll avoid the pixellated look. Also, I can't help but feel all of your walls look very similar. Try branching out a little man, be a little less linear. ;)" View

"You need to make the characters bigger. Maybe put two in front of each "B" and Ichigo in the middle of the "I" since he's the prime character. Also, that huge light source behind the characters would obscure any details in the characters. They would simply be black silhouettes with respecting shadows, nothing more." View

"Wow did you do all of this yourself? What really is amazing to me is the characters in the background.. its all so detailed. Very nice job creating this traditional style wall. My only complain is the jagginess of some of the lines on the vectored girl.. it kind of kills the traditional style as the jagginess is representative of modern style walls. Nevertheless, a wonderfully composed wall." View
